How to check traffic e-challan status in Himachal Pradesh?
You can check your Himachal Pradesh e-challan status using the Park+ website or Parivahan website.
Use the Park+ website to view your challan status in two easy steps:
- Visit the Himachal Pradesh e-Challan web portal on the Park+ website.
- Enter your vehicle number and get your challan status details.
Use the Parivahan website by the Government of India to view your challan status:
- Visit the Official Website.
- Enter your Challan number/ Driving license number/vehicle number.
- Enter the captcha code and click the "Get Details" icon.
- All the challans in your name will be displayed. Click on the one for which you want to know the status.
How to pay the e-challan issued by Himachal Pradesh traffic police?
Paying traffic e-challan online:
There are two ways of paying traffic e-challan in Himachal Pradesh online - using the Parivahan website and using the Himachal Government e-challan web portal.
Using Parivahan website:
You can pay your Himachal Pradesh e-challan on the Parivahan website by the Government of India.
- Visit the Parivahan e-challan webpage.
- Enter your Challan number/Vehicle number/Driving License number.
- Then, enter the Captcha code and select "Get Details".
- Click on "Check challan status" to get the details of your offense and the corresponding penalty.
- Make the online payment.
Upon successful completion of the process, you will receive a confirmation along with the transaction ID.
Using Himachal Pradesh Government's Online Receipts Accounting System:
- Visit the Himkosh e-challan website designed by the national informatics center.
- Non-registered users shall tap the "Create New Account" icon.
- Fill in personal details. Then, set login details such as e-mail, password, and security question.
- Login using the newly created User ID and password.
- A blank challan form will appear on the screen. Enter all the mandatory information including department name, service name, payee name, address, and mobile number.
- Select bank for online payment.
After a successful transaction, the challan receipt will be available for printing.

What are the latest traffic violations and their penalties in Himachal Pradesh?
- Visit the nearest traffic police station along with a copy of your Himachal Pradesh e-challan, driving license, identity, and address proof. Request the designated officer to check your pending challan dues and pay the same in cash.
Prepare a cheque/demand draft in the name of the city traffic police and post the same to traffic police headquarters.
The Himachal Pradesh government has modified fines and set the compounding limits for various traffic offenses based on the Motor Vehicle Amendment Act, 2019.
As per the notification, the government has a minimum and maximum fines that can be charged for violation of a traffic rule in the state. The following table provides the list of offenses and the corresponding penalties as applicable to the drivers in Himachal Pradesh.
