Yamaha is all set to launch the YZF-R3 and the MT-03 in India soon
Yamaha has announced the launch of the YZF-R3 and the MT-03 by the end of this year, somewhere in the middle of the festive season with possible lucrative deals to attract potential customers. The bikes are powered by a 321-cc, fuel-injected, parallel-twin engine mated to a six-speed gearbox that pushes 42 bhp at 10,750 rpm and 29.6 Nm (29.5 Nm for YZF-R3) of peak torque at 9,000 rpm. The seat height is 780 mm, and it tips the scales at 170 kg. The company claims a frugality of 26.31 km/l, and the fuel tank capacity is 14-litres.
The international YZF-R3 comes with 17-inch Dunlop Sportmax tyres with 298 mm disc brake up front and 220 mm at the rear. Gold-plated upside-down forks do suspension duties for the front section and a mono-shock at the rear. The Yamaha YZF-R3 is 2090 mm long, 729 mm wide, and 1140 mm tall with a wheelbase of 1379 mm and has a ground clearance of 160 mm.
The Yamaha YZF-R3 and MT-03 price is expected to be around Rs. 3.95 lakh - Rs. 4.15 lakh upon launch. It will lock horns with the likes of the TVS Apache RR 310, KTM 390 Duke and the Kawasaki Ninja 400 to name a few.
