India is soon going to have the updated XC60 Facelift as confirmed by Volvo Car India. It is set to make its debut in the Indian market on August 1, 2025. The mid-size luxury SUV has received several body and feature upgrades, while retaining its strong hybrid powertrain.
All the Interior and Design Updates
The updated version of the Volvo XC60, which now has a facelift, will come with minor and subtle styling changes. While the overall design remains almost the same, the new version is expected to have minor changes in bumpers and alloy wheels. These updates are made to refresh the look without going too far from Volvo’s existing design range.
As for the interiors, the updated XC60 will include new cushioning and trim options, enhancing the premium feel of the interior. It will have a larger 11.2-inch touchscreen with advanced features, some new apps, and updates.
The display’s pixel density is now also increased by 21%, which gives it a crisper and more responsive interface. All these system updates are powered by Google and Qualcomm’s Snapdragon Cockpit Platform, which claims to offer twice as much as the current system’s improved performance and processing speeds.
No Changes In The Powertrain
The updated version of the XC60 Facelift will have the same 2.0-litre turbo-petrol engine. However, there are some key features to it as listed below:
A 48V mild-hybrid system
250 hp and 360 Nm
8-speed automatic gearbox
All-wheel drive system
The Launch And The Competition
The updated XC60 is set to launch on August 1, 2025, and will continue to be offered as a locally assembled model in India. However, with the new updates, this model is expected to have a slight increase in the price tag as compared to the current model.
Once there in the market, it will compete with other luxury SUVs such as the Mercedes-Benz GLC, BMW X3, and Audi Q5.
