This video is about the manufacturing facility of Tork Motors in Chakan, Pune.
The facility is spread over 1.5 acres and has a shade area of 60,000 square feet. It is capable of producing 60,000 units annually and can scale up to one lakh units if required. The facility includes Motor Manufacturing, Vehicle Assembly, finished good storage and testing of machines.
The assembly line starts with attaching the frame on the battery pack and then the wheels are mounted onto the frame. The Kratos R comes short with 17-inch mrf Wheels with disc brakes on both ends that work via the combi braking system or CBS.
The cells of the battery are imported and kept in Cold Storage. They are then divided according to their tolerance level. The Assembly of the cell is also done in sync with the data from the Sorting machine. The cells are tested for the endurance through various procedures and it lasts for about 3 hours. Once the cells are cleared for usage they are placed in the battery pack and tested for leaks and then the pack is sealed.
The results of these tests are generated via a computer program. The company is also looking forward to expand the dealer to 100 touch points across the country and they follow the 3s formula - sale, service and spare parts.
