Tata Motors is preparing for an exciting 2024 by introducing several new vehicles to enthrall the Indian auto industry. Tata Harrier EV
Like the standard model, the Harrier EV will seat five people in an SUV. It will have a contemporary grille that draws design cues from the Curvv Concept. The distinctive LED tail lamps and headlamps will have a contemporary lighting design. In comparison to the infotainment system found in the standard Harrier, Tata is anticipated to employ a more contemporary model. Other than that, it's anticipated that the cabin layout won't really change from the traditionally powered Harrier.
At the Auto Expo 2023, Tata Motors affirmed that the Gen2 architecture serves as the foundation for the Harrier EV. The Harrier EV, which is anticipated to go on sale by year's end, will have an AWD system and a 60 kWh battery pack with a 500–550 km range.
Depending on the variant chosen, the expected price range for the Tata Harrier EV is between Rs. 22.00 Lakh and Rs. 25.00 Lakh.
Tata Curvv
Tata is anticipated to introduce the ICE Curvv models after the electric version. Multiple battery sizes and powertrain options are anticipated for the electric powertrain.
The 1.5-liter diesel engine from the Nexon sub-4-meter SUV will also be available for the Tata Curvv. This engine, which produces 260 Nm and 115 PS, will be mated to a 6-speed manual gearbox. Later on, an automated option is also anticipated. With a power output of 125 horsepower and 225 torque, the new 1.2-liter T-GDI turbocharged petrol engine is anticipated to power the petrol unit.
The Curvv (ICE version) is expected to cost approximately Rs 11 lakh.
The Tata Curvv will compete against vehicles such as the Skoda Kushaq, Maruti Suzuki Grand Vitara, Hyundai Creta, and Kia Seltos.
Tata Curvv EV
The Curvv, an upcoming electric SUV from Tata, was recently shown off in its diesel form at the Bharat Mobility Show. It will have an all-wheel drive system with two motors for a 400–500 km range, and it will use a bigger battery pack to enable longer driving distances.
At the expo, Tata Motors unveiled the Curvv coupe SUV, revealing that it would make its electric vehicle (EV) debut ahead of its internal combustion engine (ICE) counterpart. The Curvv EV, which is anticipated in July, will be built on Tata Motors' new Acti.ev platform, which it shares with Punch.ev.
The Curvv EV is expected to cost approximately Rs 20 lakh. The Curvv EV will also compete with the MG ZS EV, Hyundai Kona Electric, the soon-to-be Maruti Suzuki eVX, and the recently spotted Hyundai Creta EV.
Tata Altroz Racer
The Racer edition's 1.2-litre turbocharged petrol engine can generate 118 horsepower and 172 Nm of torque. The new Nexon is powered by the same engine. The Altroz Racer is exclusively available with a manual gearbox as its gearbox. Red accents are included in the centre console and dashboard of the Altroz Racer edition. It included six airbags, reverse parking sensors, ventilated seats, and a 10-inch infotainment system, among other features.
When it comes to the release of the Altroz Racer edition, Tata has been very silent. Tata may introduce the Altroz Racer edition in the first part of 2024.
The base model of the Tata Altroz costs Rs. 6.65 lakh, while the top model costs Rs. 8.50 lakh (average price ex-showroom) thus we can expect the price of Racer to be around Rs. 10 Lakh or above.
