Tata Curvv EV Bookings Open, Deliveries To Begin Soon

The much-anticipated Tata Curvv EV has just been launched, and Tata Motors has now officially opened bookings for the electric SUV coupe. You can secure your Tata Curvv EV either online or by visiting your nearest Tata dealership with a booking amount of Rs 21,000. Deliveries are set to begin on August 23, while Tata will reveal the prices of the internal combustion engine (ICE) version of the Curvv on September 2. Let’s dive into what the Curvv EV has to offer.

Features and Safety Net

The Tata Curvv EV has various cabin themes depending on your chosen variant. The top-spec variant features a dual-tone black and white interior, complemented by a 4-spoke steering wheel similar to the ones seen on the Tata Harrier and Safari.

Key features of the Curvv EV include:

  • 12.3-inch touchscreen infotainment system

  • 10.25-inch digital driver’s display

  • Panoramic sunroof

  • Wireless phone charger

  • 9-speaker JBL-tuned sound system

The top-spec variant also comes with the Arcade.ev app suite, which allows users to play games and stream content via OTT apps, enhancing the in-car entertainment experience.

On the safety front, the Curvv EV is well-equipped with:

  • 6 airbags (standard)

  • 360-degree camera with blind spot monitoring

  • Electronic Stability Control (ESC)

  • Tyre Pressure Monitoring System (TPMS)

  • Level 2 Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS)

Powertrain Options

The Tata Curvv EV offers two battery pack options, allowing customers to choose according to their driving range needs. Here are the detailed specifications:

Curvv.ev 45 (Medium Range)

  • Battery Pack: 45 kWh

  • Power: 150 PS

  • Torque: 215 Nm

  • Claimed Range (MIDC): Up to 502 km

Curvv.ev 55 (Long Range)

  • Battery Pack: 55 kWh

The Curvv EV also features V2L (vehicle-to-load) and V2V (vehicle-to-vehicle) functionalities, making it versatile for various uses. The EV supports DC fast charging with a maximum output of 70 kW, enabling the battery to charge from 10 to 80 percent in just 40 minutes. Additionally, it comes with a 7.2 kW AC charger, which charges the 45 kWh battery pack from 10 to 100 percent in approximately 6.5 hours and the 55 kWh battery pack in nearly 8 hours.

Price and Rivals

The Tata Curvv EV is priced between Rs 17.49 lakh and Rs 21.99 lakh (introductory, ex-showroom pan-India). It stands as a stylish and modern alternative to the MG ZS EV and will soon face competition from the upcoming Hyundai Creta EV and Maruti eVX.

With its impressive features, advanced safety systems, and competitive pricing, the Tata Curvv EV is set to make a significant impact in the Indian electric vehicle market.
