Skoda Elroq RS Teased: Sporty Electric SUV Set for April 3 Debut

Skoda Auto has unveiled a teaser of its upcoming Elroq RS, an electrified performance SUV under its RS lineup. With an exclusive Hyper Green paint job, sporty design elements, and a powerful battery pack, the Elroq RS is set to redefine electric mobility. Its global debut is scheduled for April 3, 2025.

Skoda Elroq RS Teased - An All-New High Performance-Electric SUV Taking Stage Soon

Skoda Auto is gearing up to launch the Elroq RS, a sportier and performance-focused version of the Elroq all-electric SUV. The newly unveiled teaser is for the first bold impression of its sporty RS-specific design highlights and high-tech interior features. This first for Skoda's sub-flagship Enyaq RS SUV-the RS version of Elroq. The buildup will climax on April 3, 2025, with its posting on Skoda's official YouTube channel.

Striking RS Design and Sporty Exterior Elements

Skoda's RS models have always been known for their sporty aesthetics, and the Elroq RS is no exception. The SUV has a Hyper Green exterior paint, an RS signature color first introduced on the Octavia RS. The front fascia is boosted with a blacked-out Skoda lettermark, sporty bumper compositions, and RS badges on front fenders.

Other design features included:

Blacked-out roof rails as well as ORVMs for a cleaner appearance

Aerodynamically optimized alloy wheels inspired from Vision 7S concept

Skoda Crystal Lighting engraving in tail lamps

Redesigned front bumper for aerodynamic improvement

The 21-inch alloys have already been modified from the standard Elroq to the RS model, now coming with a body-colored strip which importantly makes a contribution to the sporty temperament.

Premium RS Interior: Sporty touch while the company is busy doing some final tests on the full-size electric SUV, the Elroq RS promises a cabin that is comfy and driver-centric according to Skoda. It'll include: Sporty RS-branded seats for additional support; Dark-themed upholstery with contrast stitching; 13 inch touchscreen infotainment system; Head-up display for convenience while driving; Ambient lighting and a wireless charging pad.

Finally, as for the other RS models, expect most parts to have a black headliner, metal pedals, and Alcantara-trimmed seats, offering a more intimate and premium experience while driving.

Strong Performance with Multiple Battery Options

While Skoda hasn't completely confirmed the official powertrain, reports indicate that the Elroq RS is most likely to carry the largest battery in the entire lineup-actor on the report-an 85kWh battery pack.

Here is what to expect:

  • Motor with 326hp RWD like Volkswagen's ID 3 GTX

  • AWD version may be weaker by a bit than the 339hp Enyaq RS

  • Averaged over 560km WLTP cycle though the RS variant will suffer very slightly from that with its performance output.

Will Skoda Elroq RS come to India?

Skoda India is definitely looking towards the last quarter of September 2025 to launch its first electric vehicle, with prospective contenders like the Enyaq, Enyaq Coupe, and Elroq. No confirmation yet regarding the signing of Elroq RS to the Indian market though. Currently, Skoda does not market any RS models in this country but that will change soon, with the full import of the Octavia RS arriving. However, if Skoda does go ahead with the Elroq RS in the Indian market, it could later turn out to be quite well poised as a premium performance EV offering in India's evolving electric vehicle market.]
