According to a recent announcement made by Skoda India, the introductory prices for the brand-new compact SUV Kylaq will remain in force until April 30, 2025.
Launched on November 6, 2024, the Kylaq has gained immediate fame for being Skoda's most affordable model in India, with an acceptable price starting from Rs 7.89 lakh (ex-showroom).
So this price extension announcement comes as good news for aspirants, for demand for the Kylaq continues to be of high magnitude, especially for the Classic base variant, which saw overwhelming bookings shortly after the launch.
Kylaq Price Range and Variants
The Skoda Kylaq is offered in four variants, all powered by a 1.0-litre turbo-petrol engine producing 115hp and 178Nm of torque. A 6-speed manual gearbox is standard, while higher trims also offer a 6-speed torque converter automatic.

Strong Demand & Increased Production Capacity
The Kylaq made a huge stir on the market by garnering 10,000 bookings in just 10 days after the launch. The Classic variant was doing so well that Skoda had to halt bookings temporarily in December, resuming them only by late January.
In view of such overwhelming demand, Skoda is now ramping up production at its Chakan plant in Maharashtra by about 30% and supplier capacity by about 10%. It plans to deliver 33,000 units up to May 2025, targeting an annual production capacity of about 50,000 to 70,000 units, translating to about 4,000 to 5,800 units monthly.
Skoda's Growing Presence in India
Skoda India registered its highest-ever sales month of 7,422 units in March 2025, since it entered the country 25 years back. The current line-up comprises Kylaq, Kushaq, and Slavia, with the new-gen Kodiaq, Superb, and Octavia expected in the unveiling soon.
Moreover, Skoda plans to introduce its first-ever electric vehicle in India sometime by September 2025, targeting 100,000 annual sales by 2026.
Sold at good pricing and with strong sales, the Skoda Kylaq is set to change the game in the compact SUV segment.
