As the inauguration of the Ram Temple in Ayodhya on January 22, 2024, approaches, the city has prepared multi-level parking spaces to manage expected traffic and enhance the experience for tourists.
The District Magistrate, Nitish Kumar, highlighted that Ayodhya is progressing, and in order to handle the increased traffic, five multi-level parking lots are under construction. Four are nearly ready, and are offering facilities like hotels, restaurants, and kids' zones, aiming to provide convenience to visitors and also create job opportunities for locals.
These parking spaces, set to accommodate around 600 vehicles, and also consist of various shops, dining options, and security measures like CCTV cameras for the safety of the visitors. Apart from political and religious leaders, invitations have been sent to Bollywood actors like Amitabh Bachchan and others for the inauguration of the temple. The Sri Ram Janmabhoomi Trust plans to crown Ram Lalla on January 22.
The event is said to include various artists, directors, and actors from Bollywood and South Indian cinema. Around 4,000 saints from different sects have been invited, and Prime Minister Narendra Modi is also expected to attend the ceremony.
Vedic rituals for the consecration ceremony will begin on January 16, and a priest from Varanasi will be performing the main rituals on January 22. Ayodhya will celebrate Amrit Mahautsav from January 14 to 22.
Additionally, Ayodhya is also arranging temporary accommodations for thousands of devotees, expecting around 10,000-15,000 people for the ceremony.
Local authorities are preparing for the large number of visitors by implementing advanced security measures and all necessary arrangements to ensure a smooth and fulfilling experience for everyone attending the 'Pran Pratishtha' ceremony.
