Nissan X Trail To Launch In India Tomorrow Expected Price

Nissan X-Trail To Launch In India Tomorrow: Expected Price

Nissan India is set to launch the new generation model of the X-Trail SUV on August 1. This latest addition will be available as a completely built-up unit (CBU) and will join Nissan's Indian lineup alongside the Magnite. The X-Trail, previously discontinued, is making a comeback after several years. Here's what you need to know about the SUV:

Design

The Nissan X-Trail, introduced in Japan in 2022, is built on the CMF-C platform. The Indian version retains the global model's design, featuring split-style headlights, LED DRLs, and a V-shaped chrome-covered grille. The rear is adorned with wraparound LED tail lights and 'X-Trail' emblems. The SUV's exterior is enhanced with chunky cladding and 20-inch wheels.

Dimensions

  • Length: 4,680 mm

  • Width: 1,840 mm

  • Height: 1,725 mm

  • Wheelbase: 2,705 mm

  • Ground Clearance: 210 mm

Interior and Features

The X-Trail's interior boasts a sleek all-black design with fabric seating. It includes:

  • 12.3-inch fully digital instrument cluster

  • 8-inch touchscreen infotainment system

  • Panoramic sunroof

  • Paddle shifters

  • Wireless phone charger

  • Sliding and reclining second-row seats

For safety, it offers seven airbags, an electronic parking brake, front and rear parking sensors, and a 360-degree camera.

Powertrain

Under the hood, the X-Trail houses a 1.5-liter three-cylinder turbo petrol engine producing 163 horsepower and 300 Nm of maximum torque, paired with a CVT automatic transmission.

Expected Price and Rivals

The X-Trail will compete against models like the Skoda Kodiaq (Rs 40 lakh), Jeep Meridian (Rs 29.49 lakh), and MG Gloster (Rs 38.80 lakh). Given these competitors' prices, the Nissan X-Trail is expected to be priced under Rs 40 lakh.
