MG Windsor EV Reports Highest Ever Monthly Sales In March

MG Windsor EV recorded its highest-ever monthly sales in March 2025, driving MG Motor India’s 9% YoY growth. With over 15,000 units produced by February, Windsor remains India's top-selling EV. MG also plans to launch the Cyberster and M9 soon, expanding its electric lineup. Read the full report on MG's sales and upcoming EV models.

The selling of mobile unit wholesales for March 2025 to total domestic sales registered by JSW MG Motor India at 5,500 units reflected a volumetric sales increase of 9 percent over the prior year's sales figure as the sale is approximately finalized.

Such contributions of three electric vehicle offerings to the significant bulk includes the Comet EV, ZS EV, and Windsor EV. The trio contributed over 85 percent in total sales, indicating strong consumer demand for MG's EV portfolio. The MG Windsor, regarded as the highest-selling electric vehicle in India, made its highest-ever monthly sales in March as well because it had an appealing price range, a long list of variants, and a set of very advanced features and technologies.

The milestone by MG takes a notch higher with production by the Windsor above 15,000 units by Feb 2025. It very rapidly became India's most popular electric vehicle, reigning at the number one position for four months consecutively from October 2024 to January 2025. Following the heightened demand, MG is also making modifications at its Halol facility in anticipation of product expansion over the coming months.

The British automakers are preparing to roll out two new models of their fresh retail chain "MG Select". The first would be the MG Cyberster and the MG M9; they are expected to give birth to this new initiative of selling, with the Cyberster very likely available for purchase as soon as this month.

Both showed up at the Bharat Mobility Global Expo 2025, and they will be peddled as flagship models. Back to the MG Windsor EV comes with a single electric motor producing a power output of 134 hp and a torque of 200 Nm. It includes a 38 kWh battery pack, which provides an estimated driving range of 332 km on a full charge. The Windsor is fully packed with features, including a 15.6-inch touchscreen infotainment system, an 8.8-inch digital instrument console, and a panoramic glass roof.

The upcoming M9 will be packed with upmarket equipment too and it will be powered by a large battery pack with a claimed range of over 430 km. The Cyberster is a two-door electric drop top sportscar and is the quickest within the brand’s range.
