MG M9 Electric MPV Spotted in India Ahead of Launch

The MG M9 Electric MPV, spotted testing in India ahead of its launch, promises to redefine the luxury MPV segment with a 430km range, advanced tech features, and a spacious interior. Rivalling the Toyota Vellfire, Kia Carnival, and Lexus LM, this stylish and feature-packed MPV is expected to attract buyers seeking a premium, eco-friendly alternative in the electric vehicle market.

MG M9 Electric MPV Spotted Testing in India – Launch Expected Soon!

The much-anticipated MG M9 electric MPV has been spotted in India, hinting at an imminent launch. Unveiled at the Bharat Mobility Expo 2025, the M9 aims to redefine the luxury MPV segment with its premium features, spacious interiors, and an impressive 430km range on a single charge.

This model, already known as the Mifa 9 in global markets, is set to rival the Toyota Vellfire, Kia Carnival, and Lexus LM, making it a formidable contender in the premium MPV category.

Sleek Exterior Design with a Modern Touch

Recently surfaced spy images reveal an uncamouflaged silver-finished M9, featuring a contrasting roof and ORVMs, a departure from the white variant showcased last month. Its futuristic styling includes:

  • Split headlamps for a sleek look

  • Blacked-out grille with MG badging on the bonnet

  • Aero wheels for improved efficiency

  • Chrome-accented C-pillars enhancing its premium appeal

  • Wraparound LED taillights with an integrated spoiler

The charging port is positioned on the left rear fender, ensuring convenient access for home and public charging stations.

Luxurious and Tech-Loaded Cabin

Stepping inside, the MG M9 EV offers a three-row layout with premium features designed for ultimate passenger comfort. Some highlights include:

  • Dual sunroof setup (single-pane at the front, panoramic at the rear)

  • Level 2 ADAS suite for advanced driver assistance

  • Three-zone climate control system

  • Rear-seat entertainment screens

  • Ventilated and massaging second-row seats with Ottoman functionality

  • Powered sliding doors for effortless entry and exit

Performance and Range – Built for Long Journeys

The M9 is powered by a 90kWh battery pack, delivering 241bhp and 350Nm of torque. The WLTP-certified range stands at 430km, making it a practical choice for long-distance travel.

Expected Pricing and Competition

While MG has yet to confirm the official launch date, the M9’s arrival in India will place it in direct competition with the Toyota Vellfire, Kia Carnival, and Lexus LM. Given its feature-packed offering, the M9 could be a game-changer in the luxury electric MPV space. According to recent Car News, this new model is set to make waves in the market.

With the increasing demand for premium electric vehicles, the MG M9 MPV is expected to attract buyers looking for a spacious, tech-laden, and eco-friendly alternative.
