MG Comet EV Blackstorm Arrives in Showrooms: A Stylish Electric Upgrade

MG Comet EV Blackstorm Hits Showrooms with a Bold New Look. The Comet EV Blackstorm gets an aggressive black and red design, offering a sportier take on MG’s compact EV. Here’s everything you need to know

The MG Comet EV Blackstorm edition is now available in showrooms across India. Priced at ₹9.81 lakh, this special edition features a bold blacked-out design with sporty red accents, bringing a fresh appeal to MG's compact electric car.

MG Comet EV Blackstorm: A Sporty Makeover to the Compact EV

JSW MG Motor has extended its newly launched Blackstorm Edition to its most affordable electric vehicle-the Comet EV, priced ex-showroom at ₹9.81 lakh. The Comet EV Blackstorm exhibits a striking black exterior with red highlights, giving it a sportier and more premium look.

With the launch just completed, the Blackstorm edition has begun reaching MG dealerships across India, giving end customers the opportunity to see the new design and updated styling in person.

Bold Exterior with Red Accents

The Comet EV Blackstorm stands apart through Starry Black paint garnished with red accents on the front and rear bumpers, side cladding, and wheels. Another premium touch to it is the red finish of the Morris Garage logo on the front, allowing the name to pop out against the black body paint.

Finally, another distinguishing mark that really emphasizes the limited edition is the Blackstorm badge on the front fenders; this refinish ties the Comet EV with the Blackstorm editions for other MG models for a strong cross-identity.

Sporty Interiors with a Black and Red Theme

The sporty theme continues inside the MG Comet EV Blackstorm. The all-black dashboard and cabin are accented by red stitching on leatherette seat covers, which is both a contrast and elegance. Embossed in red on the front headrests, 'Blackstorm' thus reaffirms the car's special edition reputation.

The layout and tech features remain unchanged from the standard Comet EV, but this version is more aggressive and premium, appealing to young buyers looking for a stylish urban electric car.

Same Compact EV, New Attitude

The MG Comet EV Blackstorm keeps the same mechanical configuration as the regular iteration. It is powered by a 17.3kWh battery pack coupled with an electric motor mounted on the rear axle, producing 41bhp and 110Nm of torque.

The Comet EV Blackstorm, ARAI-claimed range is 230km on a single charge, perfect for city driving. Alongside the enhancements, no performance upgrades have been made to the model, thus adding an extra aesthetic appeal to the other Comet EV variants.

Final Thoughts: A Stylish Upgrade for Sin Comet EV

With MG Comet EV Blackstorm, MG clearly pulls off a sporty and premium look with its most affordable electric car. The black and red color accents work together to give it an aggressive road presence, making it shine out amongst many other EVs in this segment.

For anyone looking for a stylish compact and powerful city car, the Comet EV Blackstorm is providing a refreshing new option that isn't short on performance or practicality. Now in showrooms, it is sure to continue with good numbers.
