Mahindra Thar and XUV700 Are Getting a Cool Makeover in 2026!

Mahindra Thar & XUV700 facelifts arrive in 2026 with bold new designs, upgraded interiors, and the same powerful engines. Get ready for a stylish SUV upgrade!

Big news for Mahindra fans!

The Thar and XUV700, two of the brand’s hottest SUVs, are gearing up for a major facelift in 2026. The Thar, which first roared onto the scene in 2020, and the XUV700, launched in 2021, are ready for a fresh vibe. Let’s dive into what’s coming!

Thar Facelift: Rugged Yet Modern

The Thar 3-door facelift, codenamed W515, is taking style tips from its big brother, the Thar Roxx. Expect a bold new grille with stacked slots, sleek C-shaped LED headlights and tail-lamps, revamped bumpers, and fresh alloy wheels. It’s gonna look tough and trendy!

Inside, things are getting cooler too. Picture a new steering wheel, updated button layouts, and a bigger infotainment screen. A fully digital dashboard and a sunroof for the hard-top versions might also join the party, making every ride feel premium.

XUV700 Facelift: Futuristic and Fancy

The XUV700 facelift, codenamed W616, is drawing inspiration from Mahindra’s electric stars, the BE 6 and XEV 9e. Think sharp, futuristic vibes with connected LED headlights, a slick new grille, and bold cladding over the wheels. It’s set to turn heads!

The interior will level up too, with a futuristic design and more standard features. Mahindra’s packing in the tech to make the XUV700 feel like a spaceship on wheels.

Engines: Same Power, No Changes

While the looks are getting a big upgrade, the engines are staying the same. The Thar facelift will keep its 152 hp, 2.0-litre turbo-petrol engine, or you can pick a turbo-diesel: a 119 hp 1.5-litre or a 132 hp 2.2-litre. All come with a 6-speed manual, and the petrol and 2.2-litre diesel can get a 6-speed auto.

The XUV700 facelift will stick with its 200 hp, 2.0-litre turbo-petrol or the 2.2-litre turbo-diesel, pumping out 155- 185 hp depending on the variant. Both engines offer a 6-speed manual or a 6-speed automatic. Solid power for any adventure!

In a nutshell, Mahindra’s Thar and XUV700 are already crowd favorites, and these facelifts are set to make them even more irresistible. With bold new designs, upgraded interiors, and the same reliable engines, these SUVs are ready to rule the roads in 2026.
