Mahindra BE 6 deliveries start across India

Just about a month after initiating deliveries of the XEV 9e, Mahindra has now commenced deliveries of the BE 6 to customers nationwide. The India launch of the model occurred earlier this year with a price range from Rs. 18.9 lakh (ex-showroom).

Deliveries for the all-electric Mahindra BE 6 have finally commenced. The Indian automaker opened the order books for the BE 6 and its larger counterpart, the XEV 9e, back on Valentine's Day 2025, where the former had more than 13,000 bookings.

Here is a brief overview of the Mahindra BE 6:

Exterior

While the Mahindra BE 6 is an SUV with a sloping roofline, the overall design of the EV differs from the typical SUVs found on our roads. It has sharp cuts throughout, lending the BE 6 a mean and futuristic look. Flush-fitting door handles, 19-inch alloy wheels (20-inch as an option), and LED taillights and headlights are on offer with the BE 6.

Interior

The interior of the BE 6 is closer to an aircraft cockpit with a partition between the driver and the rest of the co-passenger. The dual-tone cabin has a layered dashboard that accompanies a dual-digital display. While feature-loaded, the overall cabin of the BE 6 is on the minimalistic side when it comes to design.

Features and Safety

The BE 6 features twin 12.3-inch digital screens (infotainment and instrumentation), wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay connectivity, dual-zone auto-AC, a 16-speaker Harman Kardon audio system, two wireless phone chargers, keyless entry and an augmented reality-based heads-up display. Passenger safety is addressed by a maximum of 7 airbags, tyre pressure monitoring system, 360-degree camera, and a Level-2 advanced driver assistance system ADAS features like adaptive cruise control.

Pricing and Rivals

The price of Mahindra BE 6 ranges from Rs 18.90 lakh to Rs 26.90 lakh (ex-showroom, pan India). It competes with the Tata Cruvv EV, Hyundai Creta Electric, and MG ZS EV.

Conclusion

With deliveries underway throughout India, the Mahindra BE 6 will soon cut a firm profile in India's burgeoning EV industry. Powered with a trendy outlook, technologically packed interiors, and good-looking performance specifications, the BE 6 promises to be a choice for making an electric leap for many customers. Its affordable pricing and packed features make it strongly competitive with peers such as the Tata Cruvv EV, Hyundai Creta Electric, and MG ZS EV. As Mahindra adds more models to its electric vehicle lineup, the BE 6 is yet another milestone in moving toward a cleaner and more electrified future on Indian roads.
