Isuzu Motors India Tops CV Exports in FY2025 with 24% Growth

Isuzu Motors India has emerged as the leading exporter of commercial vehicles from India in FY2025, clocking a 24% year-on-year growth. With over 20,000 D-Max pickups shipped globally, Isuzu’s strong performance highlights the world-class manufacturing capabilities at its Sri City plant. The company is also expanding its domestic footprint while exploring new markets for its electric and next-gen pickups.

It has established a dominant position in the commercial vehicle (CV) export segment in India during FY2025. Isuzu Motors India exported 20,312 units this year, up from 16,329 units in FY2024; that is a significant growth of 24% YoY. With this, Isuzu has solidified its position as one of the top three CV exporters from India.

Most of this growth is due to the well-established, reputed D-Max pickup range from Isuzu, manufactured within the high-tech plant in Sri City, Andhra Pradesh, which is producing vehicles not only for domestic purposes but also contributes heavily towards global orders of both left-hand-drive and right-hand-drive vehicles.

On this occasion, Rajesh Mittal, President & Managing Director, Isuzu Motors India, said, "This milepost further reinforces Isuzu's global manufacturing philosophy- Isuzu Monozukuri. Our Sri City facility produces vehicles built to global standards, backed by a dedicated Indian workforce."

To add, Toru Kishimoto, Deputy Managing Director, said: "There are growing international demands for India-made Isuzu vehicles. Exports are growing as a testimony to the quality, reliability, and performance of our products."

Isuzu exports its D-Max pickups to Nepal, Bhutan, Bangladesh, Saudi Arabia, Bahrain, Qatar, Kuwait, Oman, Jordan, and many other countries in the Middle East. This portfolio of doubling in exports shows how important, in fact, India is to Isuzu globally.

Recently, the company also celebrated 100,000-rollout completions from the Sri City plant and is growing its footprint in India. Meanwhile, Isuzu is gearing up for the global launch of the D-Max electric pickup, first shown at the Bharat Mobility Global Expo 2025.

The new-generation V-Cross has been launched in several international markets, but the company remains tight-lipped about the launch in India so far. Meanwhile, Isuzu is very busy supplying more and better India-made pieces to sustain growth globally.
