Hyundai Exter EX CNG Launched at Rs 7.50 Lakh: Feature-Rich Entry Variant with Dual-Cylinder Tech

Hyundai has introduced a new base EX variant to its Exter CNG lineup, bringing dual-cylinder technology and essential safety features at a highly competitive price point. With six airbags, a digital cluster, and bi-fuel efficiency, the Exter EX CNG aims to make green mobility more accessible for the budget-conscious buyer.

Specifically for the augmentation of its eco-vehicle lineup, Hyundai Motor India launched the new base EX variant of the Exter CNG at INR 7.50 lakh (ex-showroom price). With this launch, Hyundai continues to maintain the focus on credible feature-laden options in the entry-level CNG segment.

Being the entry-level dual-cylinder CNG offering from the Exter range, it then becomes a lower-priced alternative with the highest safety ratings and numerous technological features.

CNG-Fuelled Value Proposition for Green Mobility

The Exter EX CNG is priced at Rs.1.3 lakh higher than the petrol-only EX-MT trim. Of course, it would seem to be an added premium, but it is very well spent for being offered a dual CNG tank installation by Hyundai without sacrificing boot space. For now, the only available fitment is a five-speed manual transmission.

It ends up distributing weight and allowing better utilization of available boot space- very important for compact CNG hatchbacks- by integrating Hyundai's dual-cylinder CNG technology.

Top Features in an Entry-Level Package

What stands out for this variant is its equipment list. The Exter EX CNG, although an entry-level CNG model, comes with:

  • Six airbags (standard across the range)

  • Digital instrument cluster with color MID

  • Keyless entry

  • Driver’s seat height adjustment

  • Body-colored bumpers

In fact, even in the higher trims of competitors, a number of these features are often lacking. For instance, the Tata Punch CNG Pure trim is Rs, 30,000 cheaper without key safety and convenience features which are available in Exter.

Hyundai’s Customer-Centric Green Strategy

Speaking at the launch, Tarun Garg, Director and COO at Hyundai Motor India, stressed the company's commitment to smart and sustainable mobility. "With the Exter Hy-CNG Duo, the EX variant makes green mobility accessible while being reliable and safe," he said.

With truly loaded features and Hyundai's well-established after-sales network, the Exter EX CNG will appeal strongly to budget seekers looking for an eco-friendly urban commuter.
