Analysis Of The Hyundai Creta N Line N8 Variant Is The Entry Level Variant Valuable

Analysis of the Hyundai Creta N Line N8 Variant: Is the Entry-level Variant Valuable?

The Hyundai Creta N Line, a more aggressive iteration of the refreshed Creta, comes in two models—the N8 and the N10—for purchase in India. The base model, the N8, has a turbo-petrol engine that may be mated to either an automatic or manual transmission. Despite the absence of many premium features, this version is nevertheless worthwhile to take into account. Let's explore why.

Motives for Selecting the Creta N Line N8: The primary aesthetic enhancements that set the Creta N Line N8 model apart from the standard Creta are all present in this variant. It has distinctive design characteristics like red accents both inside and outside the car and a redesigned grille. Even though it is the cheapest model, the N8 has a number of high-end equipment like six airbags, a panoramic sunroof, and dual-zone air conditioning with rear vents. The N8's comparatively lower cost when compared to the top-tier SX (O) turbo edition of the base Creta—which is priced at Rs 20 lakh and only has a DCT automatic transmission—is another strong argument in favor of choosing it.

Features of the Creta N Line N8:

Exterior:

  • 18-inch alloy wheels with red brake callipers

  • Red accents in the bumpers and side skirtings

  • N Line badges

  • Dual-tip exhaust

  • Sporty roof spoiler

  • Automatic LED headlights

  • Connected LED DRL strip

  • Connected LED taillights

  • Black grille

    Interior:

  • All-black cabin with red accents

  • Leatherette seats with N branding

  • Leatherette-covered steering wheel

  • Leatherette finish for gear shifter and door pads

  • Height-adjustable driver seat

  • Rear parcel tray

  • Front and rear center armrests with cupholders

  • Cooled glovebox

    Comfort and Convenience:

  • Panoramic sunroof

  • Dual-zone air conditioning with rear vents

  • Wireless phone charging

  • Drive modes (Eco, Normal, and Sport)

  • Traction control modes (Snow, Mud, and Sand)

  • Paddle shifters

  • Semi-digital instrument cluster

  • Cruise control

  • Telescopic steering wheel adjustment

  • Push-button start/stop

  • Power-adjustable ORVMs

    Infotainment:

  • 8-inch touchscreen display

  • 6-speaker sound system

  • Voice recognition

  • Android Auto and Apple CarPlay compatibility

  • Bluetooth connectivity

    Safety:

  • 6 airbags

  • Dual-camera dashcam (N8 only)

  • Electronic Stability Control (ESC)

  • Vehicle Stability Management (VSM)

  • Hill-start assist

  • ISOFIX child seat mounts

  • Reversing camera with guidelines

  • Rear parking sensors

  • All-wheel disc brakes

  • Rear wiper with washer and defogger

  • Tyre Pressure Monitoring System (TPMS)

Reasons to Skip the Creta N Line N8: Although the N8 model makes the turbo-petrol engine more affordable, it lacks some top-tier features that are offered in the N10 variant, which provides a more premium experience. The N10 variant includes additional safety technology like a 360-degree camera and ADAS.

Final Thoughts:

N8: Offers advanced technology but lacks standout features. Choose this variant if you desire a sportier Creta with a manual transmission at a budget-friendly price. However, consider skipping it if you want the complete flagship experience.

N10: Opt for this variant if you prioritize safety features and want the full N Line-specific experience.
