Analysis of Honda Cars Sold in January 2025.

The year 2025 has started slightly negatively for Honda Cars India Ltd., one of the top automakers in India. When comparing the company's sales performance to January 2024, it showed a small YoY dip. Honda saw higher domestic sales last month than export sales. Let's examine the figures.

Honda Cars Sales Jan 2025

Honda sold 8,681 units in the domestic market as of January 2024. In January 2025, the figure dropped to 7,325 units sold year over year. This resulted in a volume loss of 1,357 units and a 15.62% YoY decline in sales. This effect is caused by several variables, and the company anticipates having a bigger market impact in the upcoming months.

When compared to the 5,603 vehicles sold in December 2024, Honda Cars India saw a 30.73% month-over-month increase, gaining 1,722 units in volume. When compared to year-end sales following the holiday season, this is a typical pattern seen toward the start of a new calendar year.

Honda sold 4,979 units last month, compared to 4,531 units a year ago, exceeding its January 2024 sales performance in terms of exports. This led to a volume gain of 448 units and a YoY growth of 9.89%. The firm currently offers the City C Segment sedan, Amaze sub 4m sedan, and Elevate SUV for sale.

Conclusion

The sales are an indicator that the consumers are increasing but the domestic sales have been on a downward trend as seen and this might be due to Indian consumer demand changes and the launch of many new utility cars and the average Indian consumer looks for utility and cheapness in a single car and that is one of the reasons the domestic sales of Honda are decreasing gradually.
