2026 Maruti Brezza Facelift Spotted Testing, Big Feature Upgrades Expected

The first testing of the impending Maruti Suzuki Brezza facelift has revealed early indications of additional features, improved CNG packaging, and cosmetic changes. The SUV looks to be heading in a more upscale and useful direction with modifications including revised alloy wheels, updated lighting components, and the potential for an underfloor CNG tank. Maruti's efforts to maintain the Brezza's competitiveness in the compact-SUV market are further demonstrated by the anticipated interior improvements and the incorporation of cutting-edge safety systems.

  • Testing of Maruti Suzuki's Brezza facelift has been observed in India; it features minor external modifications as well as a potential underbody CNG tank.

  • Without significantly altering the drivetrain, the update might also provide a more comprehensive feature package, such as Level 2 ADAS and a modified interior.

What's Fresh on the Outside

Recent spy photos show that the Brezza facelift is heavily camouflaged, but some design modifications are already apparent. Like Maruti's Victoris model, it has four-spoke blacked-out alloy wheels and reprofiled LED tail lamps that seem to be connected by a segmented light bar.

Minor changes to the bumper and grille are anticipated, but the front end is still effectively covered.

Underfloor CNG: A Clever Packaging Choice

The CNG arrangement is one of the most prominent rumors surrounding this makeover. According to reports, the test mule may be employing an underbody CNG tank instead of the more typical location in the boot.

Customers who frequently use the CNG version would greatly benefit from this design, which is said to have been inspired by Maruti's Victoris.

Features & Interior, More Technology, Not a Complete Redesign

According to sources, the interior of the redesigned Brezza will still have its recognizable design with a few clever additions, such as improved trim pieces, a new steering wheel, and possibly new upholstery.

A digital instrument cluster, ventilated front seats, ambient lighting, a larger infotainment touchscreen with updated software, and possibly a motorized driver's seat are all possible features of the facelift.

Level 2 ADAS, which might include lane support, collision mitigation, and other driver-assist capabilities, may be one of the most important upgrades, increasing the Brezza's competitiveness in the compact-SUV market.

Performance and Powertrain: Remaining Conventional

There won't be any significant internal modifications. The 1.5-liter K15C engine, which is available in both gasoline and compressed natural gas versions, is probably going to stay in the redesigned Brezza. While the CNG variant might go with the 5-speed manual system, the petrol version is anticipated to maintain its current power output and gearbox options.

Though nothing has been verified yet, there is conjecture that Maruti may not make any revisions to the powertrain.

When Will It Be Released?

Industry observers anticipate the redesigned Brezza to debut in early 2026, perhaps during the holiday season, even though Maruti has not yet announced a launch date. This timing would be consistent with Maruti's usual upgrade timetable, because the current version went on sale in mid-2022.

Why It's Important

By combining useful enhancements, such as underfloor CNG for additional boot capacity, with contemporary features anticipated in 2025–2026, this facelift could make the Brezza more enticing. When it launches, the updated Brezza might be a tempting choice for consumers searching for a tech-rich, effective small SUV.
