The Lexus LC500h has been launched at a price of Rs 2.39 crore (ex-showroom)
On the outside, the new Lexus LC500h gets a redesigned spindle grille flanked by angular headlamps with Nike-swoosh-style DRLs. Other noteworthy mentions are the 3D taillamps, door-mounted ORVMs and the 20-inch alloy wheels. There are strong lines and creases on the bonnet as well as on the body that accent the sporty look of the car.
Step inside the cabin, and you are welcomed by the new 12.3-inch touchscreen infotainment with Apple CarPlay sitting above the redesigned centre console. There is an eight-inch digital instrument cluster with a circular dial that relays necessary information in a crisp way, such as the speed, revs, distance to empty and trip metre to name a few. The car also gets a Levinson sound system, Alcantara upholstery, and an eight-way power-adjustable seat with ventilation and heated function.
The feature list of the new Lexus LC500h includes Lexus Dynamic handling system, Vehicle Dynamics Integrated Management, dual-zone climate control, traction control, hill start assist, in-cabin air purifier, coloured heads-up display, ambient lighting, and adaptive variable suspension to name a few.
The Lexus LC500h uses a 3.5-litre, V6 petrol engine mated to a 3-step CVT and 4-speed torque converter gearbox and with a mild hybrid system. The engine makes a good 299 bhp of power at 6,600 rpm and 350 Nm of peak torque at 5,100 rpm, the electric motor produces an additional 179 bhp and 300 Nm of torque.
The combined out is a whopping 359 bhp and claimed nought to 100 kmph in five seconds and the top speed is 250 kmph. The new Lexus LC500h rivals the likes of the BMW 8 Series and Jaguar F-Type to name a few. The refreshed Lexus LC500h has its price hiked by Rs 10 lakh over the outgoing model and it will come to India as a fully imported model.
