2023 BMW X7: Experience Elegance And Power

The 2023 BMW X7 showcases a facelifted design with a sharper exterior and impressive interior features, including a massive curved display, ambient lighting, and panoramic sunroof. It offers subtle performance improvements with petrol and diesel variants. The SUV prioritizes driving comfort and spacious seating.

 BMW X7

The 2023 BMW X7 is the new bimmer on the streets. It is turning heads for all the right reasons. Just through the first quarter of the year, an initial BMW X7 owner review has already tagged the SUV as bigger and better. The German automaker has set out new standards of luxury with this 6-seater SUV. X7 looks, feels and drives a lot different than its predecessor. If any other BMW X7 review tells you differently, in this read, we will take you through the complete details that set the X7 apart.

Sharper, Facelifted Design

If facelift was the assignment, then with the 2023 BMW X7, it was quite well understood and executed.

Head-turning Exterior

The new X7 has been redesigned with a front fascia that features the iconic BMW kidney grille and a split headlight set. However, what sets the 2023 BMW X7 apart is the integration of the air intake at the front bumper with air curtains on either side. Consequently, the 2023 BMW X7 now bears a meaner and much more intimidating stance which complements its SUV categorization.

Look at this new bimmer from the rear and it appears equally interesting. BMW cars has retrofitted the 2023 X7 with 3D tail lights which are connected through horizontal chrome lining, adding a shoulder line to the split tailgate. A closer look reveals the inner graphics built into the tail lamps.

BMW has also thrown in 21-inch BMW M light alloy wheels on all variants that not only increase the overall stance of the vehicle but render the complete affluent SUV package to the new X7. Its safe to say that none of the closest rivals of the BMW X7 looks so sharp and meanly.

Jaw-Droppoing Interior

Even if some existing owners may point out the exterior facelift as merely subtle, the interiors are bound to make jaws drop. Hop into the driver's seat and the first thing you will notice is the huge, curved display that almost seems like floating. BMW has integrated a 12.3-inch, all-digital instrument cluster and a 14.9-inch infotainment system, all within a seamless, curved digital display. It's powered by BMWs iDrive OS 8 and is expected to receive an iDrive 8.5 update somewhere during the summer of 2023.

It is also hard to miss the dashboard adorning, colour-changing ambient light strip and the huge panoramic sunroof which the guys at BMW like to call the sky lounge. The new BMW also gets a dual-tone dashboard in a fine line black fine wood trim and ambient lighting on the door panels. A classic heads-up display completes the cockpit of this latest masterpiece from the German automaker.

Subtle Performance Improvements

The 2023 BMW X7 can hit 100 km/h under a claimed 5.9 secs. In India, BMW has launched the base variants of the X7 - officially called the xDrive40i M Sport and xDrive40d M Sport. The former is the petrol-powered X7 while the latter is powered by a diesel engine.

While the Indian markets have introduced the aforementioned base variants of the facelifted X7, the Western markets are also getting higher-powered M60i and Alpina XB7 variants. Both the petrol and diesel variants launched in India are powered by a 6-cylinder, 4-valve, twin-turbo, 3-litre engine mated to an 8-speed, 4WD transmission. As per official specification charts from the BMW-India official website, the petrol engine churns out 340 HP power and 700 NM torque. As for the diesel variant these figures are 381 HP and 520 NM.

Improved Driving Comfort

The 2023 BMW X7 is probably the most luxurious SUV meant to move around an affluent family of 6 with a sizable third-row seat. The front row gets ventilated and heated seats and the cabin is cooled by a 5-zone, automatic climate control system.

BMW has meticulously wrapped the 6 seats of the X7 in Merino upholstery and the interior feels roomy and comfortable - just to state the obvious. The redesigned air-suspension and light-weighted steering wrapped in M-leather further elevate the driving experience and overall passenger comfort.

Conclusion

Starting at ₹1.22 crores, the 2023 BMW X7 is one of the best bets to place on luxury SUVs this year if you are looking to upgrade or simply get a new bimmer for your driveway.
