The Hyundai Grand i10 Nios is arguably the most polished city hatchback in India. Its biggest selling point is the premium cabin—the grey-toned dashboard layout and fit-and-finish belong to a segment above. The 1.2-litre Kappa petrol engine is exceptionally refined, silent at idle, and pairs beautifully with a light clutch or the smooth AMT, making bumper-to-bumper commutes effortless. It is also packed with segment-first features like rear AC vents. However, the light steering lacks enthusiasm on open highways, and the bouncy rear suspension struggles over sharp potholes. While crash safety remains a concern compared to rivals like the Tata Tiago, it excels as a hassle-free, comfortable daily commuter.
