Tata Curvv EV Dark Edition Teased: Launch Expected During IPL 2025

Tata’s Sleek and Sporty Dark Edition Lineup Expands. Tata Motors is set to launch the Curvv EV Dark Edition, featuring a bold blacked-out design, premium interiors, and an electric powertrain. Expected during IPL 2025.

Tata Motors plans to launch the Curvv EV Dark Edition, while a possible Red Dark version may also be in the works. The launch may happen sometime during the IPL 2025 season when ICE versions will also join the Curvv's portfolio.

An EV-centric sporty and premium addition is the Tata Curvv Dark Edition

Being the last teaser in tow, Tata Motors is likely to spread the Dark Edition nameplate but is rather curiously calling the Tata Curvv EV Dark Edition rounding their brush of the IPL 2025 season, running from March 22 onward- with the lure of creating a bold sporty all-black concept around the futuristic design of the Curvv.

The Curvv Dark Edition will be the first to come in the EV form while the ICE petrol and diesel variants will follow later. There may also be a possibility of a Red Dark Edition being launched that would raise the level of exclusivity for the Curvv lineup.

Exterior: Sleek Dark Design and Sporty Styling

The teaser from Tata does not reveal much, but previous leaks assume that the Curvv Dark Edition will have an all-black exterior with blacked-out elements for a sportier and more premium appeal.

  • There would be black alloy wheels, black chrome accents, and smoked LED lighting that would enhance aggression.

  • The Tata may adorn this edition with subtle red highlights or Dark badging to set it apart from the standard Curvv EV.

  • If the Red Dark Edition makes it, it could just as well follow this with red properly locating the element in the dark.

Interior: Premium and Feature Rich Cabin

The Tata Curvv EV Dark Edition is expected to follow suit with other Tata Dark Edition models by adopting an all-black cabin with premium upholstery and red stitching giving it a sporty effect.

  • In all probability, a minimalistic dashboard design will have a fancy digital instrument cluster coupled with a large touchscreen infotainment system loaded with Tata's latest connected tech.

  • Ventilated seats, panoramic sunroof, and ambient light will be a cherry topping on the cake.

  • ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance Systems) from Tata could make the Dark Edition a gadget-rich offering.

Powertrain and Performance: EV and ICE Options

The Curvv Dark Edition EV will most likely be made available in the Accomplished variant only, likely with the addition of a 55kWh battery pack.

Even though the official specifications are still awaited from Tata, the vehicle should give around 500 km on a single charge.

For ICE models:

  • Tata will offer both petrol and diesel powertrain options.

  • They have confirmed a DCA (dual-clutch automatic) transmission, whereas a six-speed manual is likely expected too.

Expected Launch and Price in India

The Curvv EV Dark Edition is expected to be launched by Tata Motors during IPL 2025, soon after the ICE versions. Pricing is expected to be slightly higher than the standard Curvv EV, giving it a premium positioning in Tata's program.

With Tata increasingly concentrating on electric mobility, the Curvv EV Dark Edition could be a significant addition to the market as a stylish, feature-rich, and performance-oriented alternative for EV lovers.

A Stylish and Sporty New Addition

Tata Motors has created an identity for all its Dark Edition models, and the Curvv EV Dark Edition is set to follow suit. With a futuristic design, a powerful battery, and rich interiors, the Curvv Dark Edition would be among the most modern-looking EVs in this part of the market.

Tata will build on its electrification and internal combustion engine line-up with this new range; as such, the Curvv is aimed at appealing to the EV consumer as well as the traditional fuel vehicle user. The model will debut at IPL 2025, creating high anticipation for Tata's next big project as fans gear up for the excitement.
