MG's Brand New Electric Sports Car to Launch Soon

India's first electric roadster, the MG Cyberster, will soon go on sale at the new MG Select dealerships. The two-seater sports car will be targeted at customers who enjoy the wind-in-the-hair driving experience and at car enthusiasts alike.

India's first electric roadster, the MG Cyberster, will soon be on sale via the new MG Select dealerships. The two-seater sports car will target driving enthusiasts as well as those who enjoy the wind-in-the-hair drive.

The MG Cyberster is offered in three different configurations across the world. But India is receiving it only in the top-of-the-line form, with two engines, a main one at the back and an assist one at the front, making 503 horses and 535 newton-metres of torque.

Powertrain of the new car

Accelerating from 0 to 100 km/h in the high-performance MG Cyberster is a mere 3.2 seconds, and flat out, the electric roadster reaches a speed of 200 km/h. The two motors are driven by a 74.4 kWh (net) NMC battery pack and can be charged up to 7 kW (AC)/144 kW (DC). The customers can charge it from 10% to 100% via an AC charger in 12.5 hours. With a 150 kW DC charging, the 10-80% charge session is as short as 38 minutes.

On a charged battery, the MG Cyberster has a driving range of as much as 443 km, according to Europe's WLTP. The range, according to Indian driving conditions, will differ. JSW MG Motor can offer the car with a free home charger as a promotional offer.

More information

MG Cyberster has a dashing body and is set to make a very dramatic entry with its electrically opening (and closing) scissor doors. An electrically opening soft top, 20-inch alloys, and red brake calipers are also some of its exterior features.

Interior Details

Inside, the MG Cyberster is futuristic in design, reminiscent of gaming desktops. Three wraparound screens, a 10.25-inch driver's information display, and two 7-inch auxiliary displays are placed in front of the steering wheel. There's also a 7-inch screen for the vehicle's infotainment system, situated in portrait mode in the centre console.

More Details along with Pricing

6-way electrically adjustable seats with a memory setting and electrically adjustable lumbar support, a dual-zone automatic climate control system, and an 8-speaker Bose audio system are also some of the interior features. The MG Cyberster may be priced in the INR 60-70 lakh (ex-showroom) range. Do expect the official price to be announced later this month.

Conclusion

The MG Cyberster represents a thrilling new chapter in the electric vehicle history of India, blending state-of-the-art tech, high-performance capabilities, and eye-popping design into a single stylish package. As the nation's first electric roadster, it will be sure to turn heads—both for its show-stopping looks and searing performance. With a 503 HP dual-motor drivetrain, 0-100 km/h in just 3.2 seconds, and a maximum range of 443 km, this sports EV is undeniably set for high-end buyers seeking excitement and exclusivity. Priced at an expected ₹60-70 lakh (ex-showroom), MG is taking risks and projecting a daring new direction for the Indian EV space. Watch this space—this roadster is set to get things moving.
