Mercedes Maybach SL 680 to make its Indian debut on 17th March

Mercedes-Benz India will formally introduce the Maybach SL 680 Monogram Series in India on March 17, 2025. The premium roadster, touted as the sportiest Maybach vehicle ever produced, made its international debut in August 2024.

Maybach SL 680 sports a dual-tone paint scheme, slatted grille, and more features, along with the interior it gets white leather seats with a chrome finish on the dashboard trim. The engine is powered by 585 hp and a 4.0-litre twin turbo V8 which can easily take 0-100kph in 4.1 seconds.

The design and interiors of the Mercedes Maybach SL 680

With certain distinctive Maybach features, most notably the iconic grille with thin, lighted vertical slats, the SL 680 builds upon the ominous appearance of the SL Roadster. Lower down, the front bumper is chrome-plated and less aggressive than the SL Roadster. Along with the flexible roof, the bonnet is painted in Obsidian Black and features Maybach emblems. The Maybach SL 680 is painted in garnet red elsewhere.

Whereas, SL 680 ‘s wheel features a bespoke multi-spoke design in the typical Maybach style and the wing mirrors sport a black and dominating finish. The front and the rear bumper of SL 680 tone down in a more chrome-embellished look.

The powertrain features for Maybach SL 680

The SL 680 is still powered by a 4.0-liter twin-turbo V8 engine that produces a robust 585 horsepower and 800 Nm of torque. This is 109 horsepower and 50 Nm more than the SL 55, even though the Maybach's styling forgoes the athletic attributes of the ordinary SL Roadster. The machine can accelerate from rest to 100 kph in only 4.1 seconds and powers all four wheels via a 9-speed automatic transmission.
