Honda City Apex Edition Launched: New Styling Kit Priced at Rs 25,000

Honda has introduced the Apex Edition kit for the City sedan, adding premium styling enhancements inside and out. Available for the V and VX trims, this accessory package includes leatherette finishes, exclusive seat covers, and 7-colour ambient lighting. Priced at Rs 25,000, this limited-edition kit enhances the sedan’s appeal for a more luxurious feel.

Honda City Apex Edition: What’s New?

Honda has introduced a new Apex Edition accessory kit for the City, adding a touch of exclusivity to the popular sedan. Available as a dealer-level accessory, this package is limited to the mid-spec V and VX trims. The kit, priced at Rs 25,000, enhances the sedan’s interior and exterior aesthetics, making it a more premium offering.

Subtle Yet Stylish Exterior Enhancements

The exterior changes on the City Apex Edition are minimal but add a distinctive identity. The sedan gets:

  • Apex Edition badges on the front fenders and the boot lid, giving it a special edition look.

Unlike previous Honda special editions that included sportier body kits, the Apex Edition keeps things subtle, catering to those who prefer understated elegance over aggressive styling.

Premium Interior Upgrades for a More Luxurious Feel

While the exterior enhancements are limited, the real changes are inside the cabin, where Honda has focused on premium materials and comfort enhancements. These include:

  • Leatherette finish for the dashboard, door pads, and centre console area, giving the cabin a more upmarket appeal.

  • Apex Edition-exclusive seat covers and cushions, enhancing comfort and style.

  • 7-colour ambient lighting around the instrument panel and door pockets, offering a customizable interior atmosphere.

Interestingly, the ambient lighting package can also be purchased separately as an individual accessory for Rs 7,500 and is compatible with all four trims—SV, V, VX, and ZX.

Honda City Apex Edition: Engine and Pricing Details

Mechanically, the Honda City Apex Edition remains unchanged. It continues to be powered by a 1.5-litre naturally aspirated petrol engine, producing 121hp, and comes with a choice of a 6-speed manual or a 7-step CVT automatic transmission.

VariantStandard PriceWith Apex Edition Kit
City V ManualRs 12.70 lakhRs 12.95 lakh
City V CVTRs 13.95 lakhRs 14.20 lakh
City VX ManualRs 13.82 lakhRs 14.07 lakh
City VX CVTRs 15.07 lakhRs 15.32 lakh

Conclusion

The Honda City Apex Edition kit is a worthwhile addition for those looking to enhance the sedan’s premium appeal. With its interior upgrades, ambient lighting, and subtle badging, it adds a touch of exclusivity without breaking the bank.

Given its limited availability, Honda City buyers looking for aesthetic enhancements without major modifications may find this Rs 25,000 package a good investment. If you already own a V or VX trim, this could be a great way to refresh your City’s look while enjoying some extra comfort features.
