6 Upcoming Mahindra SUVs to Hit the Indian Market Next Year

Upcoming Mahindra SUVs to Hit the Indian Market Next Year

market in 2024. This lineup will introduce a mix of both updated versions of existing models and entirely new vehicles. One of the most eagerly awaited releases is the Mahindra Thar 5-door, designed to grab attention in the Indian automotive market.

These upcoming releases will include enhancements to some of Mahindra's popular models like the XUV700 and XUV300. These improvements aim to adapt to the changing market dynamics, especially with growing competition challenging the XUV300's current position.

  • Mahindra XUV400 EV Feature Update

Scheduled for an early 2024 launch, the refreshed XUV400 EV promises a significantly improved equipment list. This update will introduce features, such as a larger 10.25-inch infotainment screen with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto functionalities. While it won't include certain advanced features like ADAS or a 360-degree camera commonly found in smaller SUVs, it's focused on enhancing the cabin without significant exterior or mechanical changes.

  • Mahindra XUV300 Facelift

Expected to hit the market in February 2024, the extensively redesigned XUV300 will showcase a completely new front and rear-end design. This facelift aims to align the XUV300's appearance with Mahindra’s upcoming BE range of SUVs. Alongside a more modern interior and a larger 10.25-inch touchscreen, there's speculation about the addition of a panoramic sunroof, providing a more premium feel to the SUV.

  • Mahindra XUV700

The XUV700, still in its early life cycle, will expand its lineup with a new 6-seater variant offering captain chairs for the middle row. Additional features like auto-dimming IRVM and potentially cooled seats will be introduced to compete with its rivals. However, no major changes in engines or looks are known yet.

  • Mahindra XUV300 EV

Set to launch in June 2024, this smaller XUV300 EV will be positioned below the existing XUV400. It will mirror the design cues from the XUV300 facelift but with its unique EV-specific touches. Equipped with a 35kWh battery and sharing the interior with the XUV300 facelift, it's expected to be priced more affordably than the current XUV400 EV.

  • Mahindra Thar 5-door

Set to launch in mid-2024, this extended version of the Thar aims to attract a wider audience seeking a tough SUV with added comfort. Featuring a longer wheelbase, it's expected to provide more space in the second row and boot, accompanied by interior upgrades such as a larger touchscreen and potentially a sunroof.

  • Mahindra XUV.e8

Arriving in late 2024, the XUV.e8, an all-electric SUV, will be Mahindra’s first next-gen EV. It shares the silhouette and layout of the XUV700 but stands out as an electric SUV with an 80kWh battery, offering power outputs ranging from 230hp to 350hp, possibly with all-wheel drive and advanced digital screens inside.

In summary, these upcoming Mahindra models promise a blend of refreshed versions and entirely new launches, aiming to bring fresh competition and innovation to the Indian automobile market.
