The old setup had boom barriers for access control, ticket dispensers for customer billing and RFID card scanners to manage staff and tenant movement. Customers were being charged at exit depending upon the time spent inside. Payment modes were cash and UPI.

Parking charges are different for customers and corporate visitors - charges for corporate visitors being lower. Tenants and corporate users are issued monthly passes and enter and exit using their RFID cards.

Park+ assessed the existing system at the mall and upgraded it by adding RFID readers and associated infrastructure. These long-range readers detect the FASTag on the vehicle's windshield. If the FASTag is not blacklisted, money is debited from the FASTag linked account of the customer. 

Since there are two different charges for regular visitors and corporate visitors, the operator at the exit is given the option to choose the appropriate rate. As soon as the operator clicks on the relevant option, the barriers are opened. 

With 20 Mn+ issuances, FASTag is the most widely available tech ecosystem in the world. All cars are required to have a FASTag. This means that this technology has widespread adoption and most customers can avail of contactless parking in the mall.

The mall managers have access to a real time admin dashboard where they can check the number of entries, exits and collections in real time. Park+ also provides routine reports around dwell time, repeat visitors, traffic distribution and user demographics. 

The mall manager can also add and remove staff and tenants from the dashboard. They are also given expiry alerts for monthly passes 7 days in advance giving them enough time to take necessary action. Pass renewals can also be easily managed from the dashboard.

Park+ offered a tailored solution for Emaar Palm Drive which defined the movements to 8 gates
and segregated gates dedicated to visitors managed by Park+. A dedicated feature was
enabled to provide gate/basement level access to residents to prevent unauthorised vehicle
movement within the premises.

At the main gates, automated access is provided to all residents using the RFID tags. Using the
state of the art technology, the residents have restricted access to approved basement floors
only which is defined by Park+ software.

An admin dashboard is provided to the facility management team through which RFID tags are
managed & gate security is enhanced.

With the Park+ Advance Booking Solution, RBS is successfully able to manage its parking inventory and reduce expenses associated with the rent of Parking Spaces. Old parking set-up

The old setup used an analog POS device for ticketing. Tickets were issued at the entry and parking charges were taken at the time of exit based on the duration of stay. The device workedoffline - there was no way to retrieve old data for audits and planning. There were boom barriersfor access control but they were operated manually. The boom barrier set up was also offline and therefore no records of entries and exits were kept. Handwritten passes were issued for regular users. This data was never entered into an online database for tracking.

1. As the system was offline, there was no way to remotely track footfalls or collections in real time. There was also no possibility of retrieving old data for the purpose of audits or planning.
2. Boom barrier had to be operated manually. This increased the possibility of pilferages.
3. The contractor was completely dependent on the on-site operators for payment collection; there was no way to audit the collections 
4. Monthly passes were issued manually which made it difficult to track and renew them
5. Monthly passes were priced arbitrarily by the operators and the contractor had very limited control over the pricing
6. Corporate bulk bookings and passes were impossible to track.
7. Passes could only be issued on site.

Celestia Spaces MCGM Park+ parking solutions

Park+ proposed a cloud based solution to completely eliminate the chances of manual error and pilferage. Digital POS devices with SIM cards were provided for ticketing and these were integrated with the existing barriers at the site by installing controllers. The barriers now function in sync with the POS machine’s commands. All entries and exits are now recorded on the cloud and the data is accessible to the contractor via the dashboard. Monthly passes are issued through the POS machine. All entries and exits of monthly pass holders are also recorded via the POS. The site is also listed on the Park+ platform. This allows users to discover it while searching for parking spaces and book their slots online.

Online POS & boom barrier integration

The contractor can access reports around entries, exits and collections in real time via the online dashboard. The collection reports are detailed and give a break up of transactions by type - regular exits, pass holder transactions, online bookings and free transactions (if any). 
Pass creation is also done via the dashboard. This allows the contractor to fix the pricing of passes centrally. The contractor may choose to make multiple pass options available. These templates are visible on the POS and the Park+ app. The operator needs to issue passes from among the options visible to him on the POS only. Customers can view passes on the Park+ app and purchase or renew them on their own.


1.	Significant reduction in pilferage as barriers only open on receiving command from the POS. All entries and exits are recorded and visible via dashboard reports.
2.	Allows the contractor to keep a track of all the passes that are issued along with customer information such as vehicle type, customer mobile number, vehicle no., date of renewal etc.
3.	The system does not allow free entry to vehicles if their passes have expired 
4.	Dashboard provides easy access to insights around lean hours, peak hours, occupancy rate etc. and allows the contractor to track transactions in real time
5.	Corporate bulk bookings can be managed easily
6.	Significantly increased revenue through online bookings via Park+ app
7.	Customers can be sent pass renewal reminders through SMS

We were facing problems of low collection from the site. Some people would leave without paying as our barriers were not working. Moreover, we felt that there may be some pilferage happening. Axalta approached Park+ to solve parking management needs for its Corporate office located at Orchid Park, Gurgaon. The site possessed a unique set of challenges, since Orchid Centre is a multi-tenant corporate park  and  only Axalta needed a Smart Parking Solution.

Park+ came up with a solution of providing Real time parking visibility to the employees of Axalta. The Solution included Employee App, Admin Dashboard, RFID tags and RFID readers.
