Karnataka Traffic Challans and Its payment process.

Most State RTOs have now adopted an electronic challan system to streamline the process of fining traffic violators. Currently, traffic violators in Karnataka are issued Karnataka traffic fine through E-challans sent via SMS, and vehicle owners can also monitor outstanding challans concerning them digitally.

If the Karnataka traffic police detect individuals flouting the law, they are issued an e-challan, which will require them to pay their fine within the specified time. Some traffic fines have also been raised with the new Motor Vehicles Act of 2019.

Karnataka Traffic Rule Violation Penalties

One must understand traffic regulations in Karnataka to avoid being penalized by the Karnataka traffic police. According to the Motor Vehicles Act of 2019, here is an updated list of traffic fines in Karnataka.

  • Visit the Karnataka one website. Click the 'Traffic Violation Fine Payment' link on this page.
  • Enter the challan number or vehicle registration number.
  • Status of the e-challan will be displayed on the next page.
  • One can also pay e-challan immediately using various online payment methods.

    Karnataka Traffic E-Challan status through Parivahan website

  • Visit the Parivahan website and select Check Online Services.
  • Select 'Check Challan Status' from the drop-down menu on this page.
  • Type in your challan number or vehicle identification number.
  • The status of the challan will be displayed on the screen.

    Bangalore Traffic Fines check

    To Check for traffic fines in the capital city of Bangalore follow the below process:

  • Visit the Bangalore traffic police page for Bangalore traffic fines check
  • Navigate to the pay your fines section.
  • Select the option 'Search and payment method by vehicle number'
  • Search for fine, either using the challan number received through SMS or using the vehicle registration number on the next screen.
  • Related fines will be visible on the next page.

  • Go to the Karnataka One website.
  • Click the 'Traffic Violation Fine Payment' link on this page.
  • Log in with your existing credentials or create a new account.
  • Feed the e-challan number or vehicle registration number.
  • The information about the challan will appear on the screen.
  • Complete the challan payment online.
  • Once the payment is made, an acknowledgment is received.

    Online Payment of E-Challan in Karnataka using the Parivahan website

  • Visit the parivahan website
  • Click on the pay online option.
  • Enter the vehicle number, e-challan number, or driver's license number and fill out the captcha.
  • Challans will be visible now.
  • Select the pending e-challan issued by the Karnataka traffic police and click on pay now.
  • You will obtain a confirmation receipt after successfully paying the e-challan online in Karnataka.

    Offline payment of a Karnataka traffic e-challan

    One can pay the fee at any traffic police station in the city by bringing the driver's license, address proof and identity proof, and the letter for a traffic violation.
