Challan Penalties Key Differences Between Bihar and Punjab

Breaking road safety rules in Bihar can get you in trouble. To stop people from breaking traffic rules and keep the roads safe, the state has put in place substantial fines.

Challan Penalties Key Differences Between Bihar and Punjab

If you're planning to travel to Bihar or Punjab, it's important to know the difference between the challan penalties in each state. Depending on the violation, penalties can range from a few hundred rupees to a few thousand.

Read on to learn more about the challan system in both Bihar and Punjab.

What are Challan Penalties?

E-challans are revolutionising the way traffic violations are handled in India. These electronic tickets are issued by the traffic police for those who break traffic rules, such as overspeeding, not wearing a seatbelt or helmet, or jumping red lights.

With E-challans, the process of issuing and paying traffic fines has become more streamlined and efficient. However, it's not all good news for drivers- the fines can be steep and can quickly add up if you break multiple laws.

To avoid getting E-challans, it's important to follow traffic rules and stay informed about any changes in traffic laws. If you do receive an E-challan, make sure to pay it off quickly to avoid any further complications. Remember, safe driving is not only good for your wallet but also for your safety and the safety of others on the road.
