Honda India has launched an extended warranty program for its current models and certain discontinued ones, allowing customers to enjoy a 7-year unlimited kilometer warranty on selected petrol and hybrid vehicles. This program, however, does not extend to discontinued diesel models.
Eligible Models:
Current models include the Honda Amaze, Honda City (petrol and hybrid), and Honda Elevate. Owners of discontinued models such as the Civic, Jazz, and WR-V can also take advantage of this extended warranty, provided their vehicle is part of Honda's extended warranty program.
Existing customers can opt for the extended warranty package within two years of their vehicle's purchase date.
Additional options are available until the end of the standard warranty period.
Current owners with a four- or five-year extended warranty can extend their coverage to seven years or 150,000 kilometers, whichever comes first.
The purchased extended warranty is transferable if the vehicle is sold.
The cost for the extended warranty varies based on the model and the timing of the purchase. Here are some examples:
Honda City (Petrol-CVT): ₹28,300 if purchased within 60 days of the standard extended warranty.
Honda Elevate (CVT): Starting at ₹31,100 for the unlimited extended warranty.
Honda Amaze: Starting at ₹24,200.
A complete price list for the extended warranty packages for qualifying Honda models is available at authorized dealerships. It’s important to note that these extended warranties are available only for private customers; taxi and fleet vehicles are not eligible.
Other automakers such as Maruti, Tata Motors, and Hyundai also offer extended warranty packages that can last up to six years, depending on the model, enhancing the appeal of their vehicles in the competitive Indian market.
With this new warranty program, Honda India aims to provide its customers with peace of mind and confidence in their vehicle purchases, reinforcing its commitment to customer satisfaction and vehicle reliability.
