Matter Aera electric scooter can be booked from May 17. The first phase opens bookings for 25 districts across the country.
Matter Energy has announced that the company will be opening booking for its electric bike Aera. Customers can pre-book the electric bike on the official website and other e-commerce sites such as Flipkart. The initial phase will have bookings open for 25 districts in India. Matter Aera will be offered in two versions: Aera 5000 and Aera 5000+ priced at Rs. 1.44 lakh and Rs. 1.54 lakh respectively. The initial phase will open booking in cities like Pune, Hyderabad, Vishakhapatnam, Ahmedabad, Vijayawada, Krishna, Coimbatore, Bengaluru, Mysore, Chennai, Madurai, Mumbai, Navi Mumbai, Thane, Raigad, Nagpur, Nashik, Gandhinagar, Surat, Vadodara, Jaipur, Indore, Delhi NCR, Patna, Lucknow, Kanpur, Guwahati, Kamrup, Kolkata, Bhubaneshwar, and Kordha.
The Matter Aera electric bike houses a 5 kWh, liquid-cooled battery that powers an electric motor pushing 10 kW or 14 bhp. The company claims a range between 125-150 km. The Matter Aera gets a four-speed HyperShift gearbox cooped with this motor that calibrates throttle inputs and torque response. The Matter Aera takes about five hours for a full charge and the same can be done in just two hours with a hyper charger.
The Matter Aera will be available 5000 is available in two colour options: Black and Blue. The 5000+ comes with Black, Blue, White, Red and Grey paint jobs. We can expect the company to launch other bikes on the same platform with different ranges and power outputs.
The feature list of the Matter Aera includes a nine-axis IMU, dual-disc setup with single channel ABS, three riding modes(Eco, City, and Sports), reverse parking assist, push-button start and stop, LCD touchscreen dash and WiFi with 4G connectivity to name a few.
