Mahindra is pushing for its homegrown 'OEM' facilities for Electric vehicle segments aiming to expand its EV capabilities. To target the growing EV market in India, M&M has recruited more than 900 engineers for Mahindra Research Valley in Chennai. With substantial investment plans by M&M in the pipeline, M&M is looking to introduce its renewable strategy for the electric passenger vehicle market in London next month.
With a vision to expand its EV capabilities to compete with international brands, M&M has recruited more than 900 engineers for its 'Mahindra Research Valley in Chennai. Expansion of the team is an effort to capitalize on the already established EV market, which is ever-expanding. Leaving no stones unturned, Mahindra is looking to expand upon its already established R&D and engineering hub that consists of 2,400 engineers working on the Internal Combustion Engine. Mahindra & Mahindra (M&M) will unveil its renewed strategy for the electric passenger vehicle market next month in London. M&M plans to launch five electric SUVs. Mahindra is planning a total investment of 10,000 crores for the EV play between FY22 and FY27. Mahindra is also eyeing the electric pick-ups for its electric commercial vehicle business, expanding upon its portfolio. Mahindra is looking to bring back its tried and tested designs for the electric versions, such as introducing the XUV 400, a more extensive and electrified version of the XUV300.
