Why Is There A Difference In Challan Penalties Between Jharkhand And Nagaland?

The difference in challan penalties between Nagaland and Jharkhand can be attributed to various factors, including:

  • State-specific regulations: Each state has the authority to formulate its own traffic rules and penalties based on the prevailing traffic conditions, road infrastructure, and local requirements.

  • Legal frameworks: The states might have enacted different laws and acts related to traffic violations, which lead to variations in the penalties imposed for different offences.

  • Enforcement capabilities: The enforcement capabilities and resources available in each state can affect the implementation and severity of penalties. Differences in manpower, technology, and infrastructure can contribute to variations in how traffic violations are monitored and penalized.

  • Traffic density and accident rates: States with higher traffic density or a higher number of accidents might impose stricter penalties to deter reckless driving and promote road safety.
