Here is a list of the latest traffic rule violation penalties issued by the Andhra Pradesh Traffic Police that you must beware of:

  1. Driving a vehicle without holding an effective driving license: 3 months Imprisonment or Rs.500/- or both

  2. Driving a vehicle being underaged: 3 months Imprisonment or Rs.500/- or both

  3. i)Disqualified person driving a vehicle in a public place or

ii) Seeking a license without disclosing endorsements made:

3 months Imprisonment or Rs.500/-

4. Overspeeding:

a. First Offense: Rs.400/-

b. Second or subsequent offense Rs.1000/-

5. Driving dangerously:

a. First offense: 6 months imprisonment or Rs.1000/- or both

b. Second or subsequent offense within 3 years of previous commission: 2 years of imprisonment or Rs.2000/- or both

6. Driving by a drunken person or by a person under the influence of drugs:

a. First, offense 6 months of imprisonment, Rs. 2000/- or both

b. Second or subsequent offense committed within 3 years of previous commission: 2 years of Rs.3000/- or both

7. Driving when mentally or physically unfit to drive:

a. First offense Rs.200/-

b. Second or subsequent offense Rs.500/

  1. Driving an uninsured vehicle: 3 months or Rs.1000/- or both

9. Driver in a public place failing to produce his license to any police officer in uniform; on demand:

a. First offense Rs.100/-

b. Second or subsequent offense Rs.100/-

10. Any motor vehicle not having pollution under control certificate:

a. First offense Rs.1000/-

b. Second or subsequent offenses Rs.2000/-

11. Using the vehicle in unsafe condition: Upto 3 months or upto Rs.1000/- or both

  1. Using a mobile phone while driving

First offense: Rs.5000

Subsequent offense: Rs.10,000

  1. Drunken driving: Rs.10,000

  2. Driving a vehicle without registration: Rs.2000

  3. Driving uninsured vehicle: Rs.2000

  4. Violation of road regulations: Rs.1000

  5. Over-speeding

For Light motor vehicle (LMV): Rs.1000

For Medium passenger goods vehicle: Rs.2000

  1. Carrying explosive/inflammable substances: Rs.10,000

  2. Not giving passage to emergency vehicles: Rs.10,000

  3. Driving when mentally or physically unfit to drive

First offense: Rs.1000

Subsequent offense: Rs.2000

  1. Racing

First offense: Rs.5000

Subsequent offense: Rs.10,000

  1. Driving a vehicle registered in another state for more than 12 months

First offense: Rs.500

Subsequent offense: Rs.1500

  1. Driving without a valid driving license: Rs.5000

  2. Overloading: Rs.2000
