Work methods of Parking Assistant Plus
The advanced park assist feature detects any obstacle and alerts you visually and audibly beforehand. Depending on the configuration of the Audi variant, the Park Assist switch is placed either near the selection lever or on the centre console.
On operating the reverse gear, this system gets automatically activated. You can easily turn it on by using the switch. You can hear a beep sound and view the illumination on the switch bulb.
If you accelerate the vehicle to over 6 miles/hour or remove the ignition key, the system automatically turns off. You can use the switch too, for instant turn off.
Alarms and mute features
The Park Assist system makes alert sounds out of the neatly arranged sound boxes. You can easily adjust the pitch and volume using the MMI. The signalling sound stops upon engaging the automatic transmission selection or the parking assistant in the static parking position. It restarts if it encounters any further obstacles and if you have re-engaged the Park Assist mode. Forward and reverse driving The warning sounds begin if Park Assist detects any obstacle in the rear or front. However, if the concerned obstacle is within 0.3 meters, the signals stop abruptly. Under such circumstances, it is best to keep your car static. The following Audi models are equipped with the Park System Plus feature:
