Toyota Kirloskar Motor Posts Highest Monthly Sales in June 2024, Surpassing 27,000 Units
Toyota Kirloskar Motor (TKM) continues to ride a wave of success, posting its highest-ever monthly sales with an impressive 27,474 units sold in June 2024. This remarkable feat includes domestic sales of 25,752 units and 1,722 units of exports, marking a significant 40% growth compared to the 19,608 units sold in June 2023.
The company's strong performance is attributed to the overwhelming response to its comprehensive MPV and SUV lineup, enhanced customer-centric initiatives, and the rollout of value-added services. TKM’s strategic expansion has also improved accessibility in metropolitan areas and across smaller regions.
In the first half of 2024, TKM reported a 47% growth compared to last year. From January to June 2024, TKM sold 1,50,250 units, a substantial increase from the 1,02,371 units sold during the same period in 2023.

Commenting on the robust performance, Mr. Sabari Manohar, Vice President the sales-service-used Car Business, Toyota Kirloskar Motor, said, “Our product strategy and continued focus on offering a delightful ownership experience across all touchpoints allowed us to maintain a consistently strong performance. Achieving our highest-ever monthly sales of 27,474 units in June, along with a 47% growth for the calendar year, highlights the success of our invigorated strategy.”

Mr. Manohar also noted the outstanding performance of the recently launched Urban Cruiser Taisor, which has seen order intakes double compared to the previous month. This model's growing popularity underscores Toyota’s expanding presence in the SUV segment. The Urban Cruiser Taisor, available in three engine options—1.0L Turbo, 1.2L Petrol, and E-CNG—combines style, high performance, fuel economy, and a striking exterior design, making it an attractive option backed by Toyota’s renowned value-added services.
“Our SUV and MPV segments continue to drive our impressive sales surge, reflecting strong consumer preference for these versatile and reliable vehicles. Beyond our presence in major cities, TKM has strategically increased its focus on rural areas, broadening our customer base and driving significant momentum,” Mr. Manohar added.
In addition to new vehicle sales, TKM recently launched the company-owned Toyota Used Car Outlet (TUCO) in New Delhi. Operating under the brand "Toyota U-Trust," this initiative aims to provide customers with high-quality, safe used cars, ensuring convenience, transparency, and peace of mind throughout the buying and selling process.
