There are also plans for a 48-volt mild hybrid powertrain with an 8-speed dual-clutch transmission, a 1.5-liter turbocharged gasoline engine, and a tiny electric motor. The system will use the battery's reserve to provide a brief pure-electric drive under light load.
Nevertheless, the manufacturer has stated that for the time being, the Indian launch will only include traditional gasoline and diesel models.
You might have to wait a very long time if you were hoping for an EV or hybrid GLB in India. The new GLB will be a seven-seater SUV that runs solely on gasoline or diesel when it reaches here, most likely as a fully imported CBU.
However, because there aren't many direct competitors offering the same mix, its improved design, roomy cabin, and high-end amenities make it a desirable choice for consumers searching for a small, luxurious SUV with three rows.
