MG Motor India is all set to launch its most-premium SUV offering, the MG Majestor, next month in the Indian market. It has, therefore, been derived from the Gloster, all the while looking into its scope as a more premium and loaded alternative, set to create waves in the full-size SUV segment.
The MG Majestor was first unveiled at the Bharat Mobility Expo 2025 and has been sighted for various test runs since. With its redesign of the front fascia, its large mesh grille, vertically stacked LED headlamps, and angular daytime-running lights, it introduces a whole new aggressive image to the Gloster platform. The imposing front is complemented by a chunky silver-finished bumper, giving the Majestor a hollering road presence.
The rear design has also been revamped with new connected LED tail lamps, dual exhaust outlets, and bold 'Majestor' lettering across the tailgate, ensuring that the MG Majestor will be visible quite distinctly from the rear.
To cement its position, the Majestor features an impressive range of enhanced elements- think an entire set of soft-touch materials, an all-new dashboard layout, and a collection of luxury features, such as:
12.3-inch touchscreen infotainment system
Panoramic sunroof
Powered and ventilated front seats
360-degree surround-view camera
Level 2 Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS)
These bygone features would cater to giving a more comfortable, tech-savvy driving experience, especially for luxury buyers who are in search of rugged utility.
The MG Majestor will carry over fundamentally all of the Gloster mechanicals, being offered with tried-and-tested diesel engines and a 4WD configuration. Pricing is still unclear; estimates suggest it will command almost a ₹5 lakh premium over the Gloster, thereby putting the Majestor squarely against the Toyota Fortuner, which is a darling in the full-size SUV segment.
With its brave new look, technology, and more comfort, the MG Majestor will create a new wave on Indian roads next month.
