MG, Kia and Citroen Revised The Car Prices

Kia India has revised pricing across the Sonet range, and the compact SUV now costs anywhere between Rs. 7.41 lakh and Rs. 14.18 lakh, ex-showroom. The hike itself is not uniform.
Depending on which variant a buyer picks, the increase ranges from a modest Rs. 3,300 right up to Rs. 28,300. Kia has kept everything else about the car untouched, meaning there are no changes to features, equipment, or the engine line-up.
Buyers still get the same three engine options as before, a 1.2 litre naturally aspirated petrol, a 1.0 litre turbo petrol, and a 1.5 litre diesel.
On the transmission side, the Sonet continues to offer a five-speed manual, a six-speed manual, a six-speed iMT, a six-speed torque converter automatic, and a seven-speed dual-clutch unit, with availability depending on the specific variant chosen.
Over at JSW MG Motor India, two of the brand's most premium offerings have also gone up in price. The M9 electric MPV, which is sold in a single Presidential trim, now costs Rs. 79.95 lakh, a jump of Rs. 4.05 lakh over its earlier price.
The Cyberster, MG's two door electric convertible, has had an even steeper hike of Rs. 5 lakh, pushing its price to Rs. 82.5 lakh. Both figures are ex-showroom.
This isn't a surprise for anyone tracking the brand closely, since MG had already signalled that a price correction was coming into effect from July 2026. Both cars remain exclusive to the MG Select network of dealerships rather than being sold through the brand's regular showrooms.
Separately, MG is also gearing up to launch a new energy vehicle in the days ahead, widely believed to be a rebadged version of an existing Wuling model, though the company has stayed secretive on specifics so far.
Citroen has also joined the price hike list, with its Aircross X range seeing a revision on the higher spec Max variants. The increase here is comparatively small at Rs. 15,000, but it applies across the board, covering both the five seat and seven seat body styles, as well as the manual and automatic gearbox options.
With this change, the Max trim now starts just above Rs. 13 lakh and tops out at a little under Rs. 14.9 lakh, average ex-showroom, though actual on-road figures will differ depending on the state and dealership. This marks yet another price adjustment for Citroen this year, a pattern the brand has followed a few times already due to rising input costs.
The Aircross X itself is powered by a 1.2 litre turbo petrol engine, paired with either a six-speed manual or a six-speed automatic gearbox, and slots in as Citroen's rival to compact SUVs in the segment.
Taken together, these revisions show that price corrections across the Indian car market are continuing well into July, with more brands likely to follow as the year progresses.
