Maruti Suzuki e-Vitara Base Delta Variant Spotted at Dealerships Across India

The entry-level Delta variant of the Maruti Suzuki e-Vitara, priced at Rs 15.99 lakh, has begun arriving at dealerships across India.
The base trim runs on a 48.8 kWh battery pack with a claimed range of 440 km, unlike higher variants that use a larger 61.1 kWh unit, claiming 543 km.

After facing multiple delays before its official price announcement in February 2026, the Maruti Suzuki e Vitara is now firmly on its delivery journey.

With units progressively landing at dealer outlets across the country, the latest to surface is the entry-level Delta variant, spotted at a local showroom in the Splendid Silver colour. The e Vitara is offered in as many as ten colour options, making Splendid Silver just one of a generously varied palette on offer.

For buyers opting into the BaaS scheme, the e Vitara is available from Rs 10.99 lakh. Those who prefer outright ownership will find the base Delta variant priced at Rs 15.99 lakh, which is what this particular unit represents.

A Base Trim That Does Not Feel Like One

Exterior Features That Set the Right Tone

Despite sitting at the bottom of the variant hierarchy, the Delta does not come across as a stripped-back affair.

The exterior is equipped with LED daytime running lights, fog lights, 18-inch alloy wheels, wing mirrors with integrated turn indicators, an integrated rear spoiler, rain-sensing wipers, and an automatic headlamp function.

For an entry-level specification, it is a well-considered package that holds its own against the competition.

A Cabin That Covers the Essentials and Then Some

Inside, the Delta variant keeps pace with the exterior's promising start. The cabin is dressed in fabric seat upholstery and features sliding and reclining rear seats, dual 10-inch displays, wireless phone mirroring, automatic climate control with rear AC vents, an Infinity music system, electrically foldable wing mirrors, an air purifier, and Suzuki Connect.

The safety package includes seven airbags, ABS with EBD, an electronic stability programme, an electronic parking brake, tyre pressure monitoring, brake assist, and both front and rear parking sensors.

The key point of difference between the Delta and every other variant in the e Vitara lineup lies beneath the floor. The base trim draws power from a 48.8 kWh battery pack paired with a single electric motor, returning a claimed range of 440 km on a full charge.

All other variants step up to a 61.1 kWh battery, which lifts that figure to a claimed 543 km.

The gap between the two battery options is worth keeping in mind, particularly for those with frequent long-distance requirements. That said, 440 km is far from a compromise figure in this segment, and for the typical urban buyer, the Delta variant is likely to prove more than sufficient on a day-to-day basis.
