5 Exciting 7-Seater Cars Launching in India This Year: MG, Mahindra, Kia & More

India's 7-seater car market will witness a big surge in the latter half of the year 2025, as some of the leading players like Renault, Mahindra, MG, and Kia launch a number of products.

Whether you require a family-friendly compact MPV or an all-electric premium SUV, there is something for every buyer here. Let us take a closer look at five eagerly awaited models:

  1. Renault Triber Facelift

Renault is ready to give its value-for-money 7-seater, the Triber, a makeover with minimalistic exterior changes. Recently spotted under heavy camouflage, the updated version can be expected to have a revised front-end face with new headlamps and DRLs.

The rear design is largely unaltered. The same 1.0-litre three-cylinder petrol motor is poised to carry on, making the Triber a cost-effective option for families.

  1. Kia Clavis EV

Apart from the new version of Clavis ICE, Kia also has the Clavis EV, a 7-seater electric SUV positioned above the Carens. It may share battery options with the Hyundai Creta EV with a range of up to 450 km. Designed for urban family customers seeking cleaner mobility, it will be a stylish and utilitarian new entrant in the EV space.

  1. Mahindra XEV 7e

Mahindra's XEV 7e, based on the future-looking INGLO platform, takes styling inspiration from the XUV700 and the XUV.e8 concept car. It will debut first as a 6-seater, with the 7-seater version on the cards later. The SUV will presumably have the same battery layout as its larger BE siblings, offering strong EV power in a versatile space configuration.

  1. MG M9 MPV

The MG M9, a luxury MPV, will be retailed through the MG Select showrooms. It has a humongous 90 kWh battery with a WLTP-approved range of approximately 430 km. With bookings already underway at ₹51,000, the M9 is looking to target affluent urban families with its luxurious amenities and roomy three-row design.

  1. MG Majestor

The new MG Majestor is a 7-seat full-size SUV, which will be launched in H2 2025. Underpinned by the Maxus D90 platform, it will be positioned above Gloster but use the same drivetrain but with a higher trim level of interior and more equipment. Intended to compete against Toyota Fortuner and Jeep Meridian, the Majestor will set new standards in MG's SUV portfolio.
