Honda has announced the debut of their upcoming SUV on June 6. It will rival the likes of the Hyundai Creta and Kia Seltos, to name a few.
Honda Elevate will be revealed on June 6, the SUV will be taking on strong contenders like the Hyundai Creta and Kia Seltos in the lot. It will be first launched for the Indian market and then for the rest of the world. The car will share its underpinnings with the fifth-gen Honda City and will be offered a 1.5-litre engine at the time of the launch and a 1.5-litre strong hybrid powertrain as well. The City’s engine makes 121 bhp and 145 Nm of torque. Transmission options could be a six-speed manual and a CVT, just like the Honda City.
The Honda Elevate is expected to borrow design cues from the existing SUVs in the Honda fleet, such as the HR-V and CR-V, to name a few. The Elevate can be expected to measure 4.2 - 4.3 metres in length, considering how it shares its underpinnings with the Honda City. The exterior feature could include a sunroof, muscular arches, flared fenders, and chunky cladding, giving it a butch look. The overall stance of the Honda Elevate will be quite upright.
On the inside, we can expect a good 10.2-inch digital touchscreen infotainment system taking centre stage, semi-digital dash, dual-zone climate control, 360-degree camera, six airbags, ESP, hill assist, connected car tech, cruise control, drive modes, parking sensors, smartwatch connectivity, along with other features. The prices of the Honda Elevate will be announced by August 2023, and we can expect a starting ex-showroom price of around Rs. 12 lakh and stretch up to the Rs. 20 lakh mark.
