The vehicle owners who were looking forward to getting a traffic challan Delhi waiver or settling them at a negotiable rate have to wait for some time. The Lok Adalat next date has been rescheduled for a later date.

Why is the National Lok Adalat Held?

National Lok Adalat refers to the ‘People’s court’ that is held 4 times a year to settle long-standing cases of individuals. It includes several types of cases, including compoundable traffic challan cases.

The major objective of the National Lok Adalat 2025 Delhi is:

• To clear the backlog of pending cases.
• Improve the revenue collection.

Why is the Delhi Traffic National Lok Adalat Postponed?

The recent notification by the Delhi Legal Services Authority clearly mentions that the last Lok Adalat December 2025 has been postponed and is rescheduled to be held on January 10, 2026. The notification released by the Ld. After announcing the shift in the changes of the upcoming Delhi Lok Adalat 2025, from December 13, 2025, to January 10, 2026 (the second Saturday), the notification also reads the locations where the litigants and the vehicle owners are expected to arrive with their national Lok Adalat token 2025 on the rescheduled date.

NOTE: At District court complexes, all types of civil and compoundable cases will be settled except ‘Divorce’ cases.

Parivahan

Along with offering a bunch of vehicle-related services and information, it also allows people to check their traffic challan.

To do so, perform the following:

1. Go to the Parivahan e-Challan page.
2. Select ‘Check Challan Status’ from the ‘Check Online Services’ tab.
3. Enter either of the details: DL number, challan number or vehicle number.
4. Fill in the ‘Captcha’ and click on ‘Get Detail’.
5. Review all the challans.
