  • Over-speeding: Light Motor Vehicles: Rs. 1,000-2,000; Medium and Heavy Motor Vehicles: Rs. 2,000-4,000

  • Dangerous/Rash driving: First offence: Rs. 1,000-5,000; Subsequent offence: Rs. 10,000

  • Drunken driving: First offence: Rs. 10,000; Subsequent offence: Rs. 15,000

  • Violating the standards of road safety, noise, or air pollution: First offence: Rs. 10,000 with or without a prison sentence of 3 months and/or cancellation of license for 3 months; Subsequent offence: Rs. 10,000 with or without a prison sentence of 6 months

  • Driving without a seat-belt: Rs. 1,000

  • Driving without insurance: Rs. 2,000-4,000

  • Racing: First offence: Rs. 5,000; Repeat offence: Rs. 10,000

  • Driving a vehicle registered in another state for more than 12 months: First offence: Rs. 500; Repeat offence: Rs. 1,500

  • Driving without a valid driving license: Rs. 5,000

  • Driving without insurance: Rs. 2,000

  • Overloading: Rs. 2,000
