VinFast’s first Indian dealership opens in Surat, Gujarat

VinFast, a Vietnamese carmaker, has opened its first dealership in India. It is located in Piplod, Surat, and is spread over 3,000 sq ft. This showroom is called ‘VinFast Surat’ and is promoted by Chandan Car, a well-known company in the auto industry.

VinFast’s Future Plans

VinFast plans to open 35 dealerships in 27+ cities across India by the end of 2025. It has already signed agreements with 13 dealership groups in the country.

The company also plans to build a manufacturing factory in Thoothukudi, Tamil Nadu. This upcoming plant plans to help VinFast make electric cars in India and support the launch of its two new EVs – the VF 6 and VF 7.

About VF 6 and VF 7

The VF 6 and VF 7 are premium electric SUVs that VinFast has tailor-made for the Indian customers. These EVs will be the first right-hand drive versions of these models, made specially for the Indian public.

VinFast started pre-bookings for both cars on 15 July 2025. Customers can reserve them for ₹21,000, and the amount is fully refundable. These SUVs are expected to be assembled locally at VinFast’s upcoming Tamil Nadu plant.
