TKM received the 'Engines and Turbines & Parts Thereof - Large Enterprise' award for the year 2019-20. In addition, the company was awarded the 'Gold Trophy' for Top Exporters under the Merchant Exporter category for the year 2020-21. The Award Ceremony

The awards were presented during a ceremony in Puducherry by notable figures such as Shri Vimal Anand, Joint Secretary, Department of Commerce, Government of India; Shri Arun Kumar Garodia, Chairman, EEPC; Shri Shashi Kiran Lewis, Deputy Regional Chairman, EEPC; and Shri Raman Raghu, Regional Chairman, EEPC. The EEPC India, sponsored by the Ministry of Commerce & Industry, Government of India, plays a vital role in promoting the Indian engineering sector. It serves as a bridge between the government and the engineering community, aiming to recognize and reward outstanding performances in various engineering export categories.

Criteria for Awards

The EEPC Export Excellence Awards evaluate the best exporters across India based on several criteria, including the Freight on Board (FOB) value of exports, the types of products exported, and the net foreign exchange earned. TKM showed remarkable growth in the FOB value of engine exports in 2019-20. In 2020-21, the company increased its exports under the Merchant Exporter category, which included engines and various parts.

Toyota Kirloskar Motor (TKM) is a joint venture between Toyota Motor Corporation (Japan) and Kirloskar Systems Limited (India). Toyota Motor Corporation holds 89% equity participation, while Kirloskar Systems Limited holds 11%. TKM employs approximately 6,000 people and operates on a land area of approximately 432 acres.
