The new Mercedes Maybach GLS 600 launched in India at Rs 3.35 crore

Mercedes has redesigned its top model Maybach GLS 600 and launched in India at Rs 3.35 crore. The old version of Maybach GLS was priced at Rs 92 Lakhs. The price range would have been updated as the new Maybach GLS comes with subtle exterior cosmetic updates, new interior trim and upholstery options as well as an updated 4.0-litre V8 engine under the hood.

Exterior Changes

The facelifted Mercedes-Maybach GLS 600 features a slightly redesigned front grille with the Maybach logo, a new bumper design, and Maybach logos on the vertical air inlets. It is equipped with 22- or 23-inch Maybach wheels. The SUV has new LED tail-lamp signatures and exhaust tips designed specifically for Maybach on the back. In addition to conventional hues like Black, Polar White, and Silver Metallic, the GLS 600 now comes with an optional dual-tone paint job.

Interior Updates

The Mercedes-Maybach GLS 600's interior has five seats as standard, but it also has a four-seat arrangement with champagne glasses, a refrigerator, and an enlarged center console as an option. The SUV has been equipped with the most recent MBUX software, which includes an interior assistant, guard 360-degree vehicle protection, level 2 ADAS, massage and ventilated seats, and E-Active Body Control. It also has a new steering wheel design with greater personalization choices. For a more customized look, the interior upholstery now comes in more colour combinations.

Powertrain Update

The Mercedes-Maybach GLS 600's 4.0-litre twin-turbo V8 engine remains under the hood, although it now generates marginally more power. The engine produces 730 Nm of torque and 550 horsepower. It also has an Integrated Starter Generator (ISG), which adds an extra 250 Nm and 21 horsepower. The SUV has an electronically controlled top speed of 250 kmph and can accelerate from 0 to 100 kmph in just 4.2 seconds.

Pricing and Competition

In India, the Mercedes-Maybach GLS 600 with a facelift costs ₹3.35 crore. At ₹2.38 crore (ex-showroom), the Range Rover is its closest competitor.
