• Expected prices for the models fall between ₹12.5 lakh and ₹21 lakh (ex-showroom, India), putting them in the premium compact/midsize SUV market.

Powertrain Choices and Platform

With a real-world range of roughly 500 km and an anticipated 65–75 kWh battery pack, the Sierra EV will be built on Tata's Acti.EV Gen 2 platform.

In order to enable all-wheel drive, high-end models could use two motors. With a 6-speed manual or 7-speed DCT automatic gearbox, the ICE range will feature Tata's new 1.2-liter and 1.5-liter turbo-petrol engines as well as perhaps a 1.5-liter diesel unit.

Timeline and Cost of Launch

The Sierra EV will be introduced by Tata in 2025, around Diwali, according to several reports. The gasoline and diesel versions will follow in early 2026. Combining Tradition and Innovation

By bringing the Sierra back to life, Tata Motors hopes to arouse nostalgia while updating it for contemporary consumers. The five-door SUV maintains the basic design language of the original while adding modern amenities, including numerous seating arrangements, ventilated seats, ADAS, and a panoramic sunroof.

The return of the Sierra also supports Tata's electrification drive and its objective of launching seven new nameplates by 2030.
